I’m fully aware the schedule changes, but don’t agree is has to. It isn’t quantum physics, figure out how many teams there are and set a schedule. The issue is, there are too many cupcake coaches that run from competition. They find ways to manipulate the board and create lame excuses for why they shouldn’t have to play another team. That makes it very challenging to create matchups. Our team had their last game stripped from them this week. This was their final game, which was one of only two home games. Based on previous years, we should have played the mighty Spartans. They refused, but decided to play a weaker team in Boone County instead. Boone County hasn’t had a bye, we’ve already had one (Week 1), and now we’re going to have a 2nd bye. The league has apparently done nothing to assist.

Nice of the league to botch the schedule again. I guess you need a membership to their “good ole boy club” in order to get a game every week.

Just giving some perspective on how good they are. And I’m sure they will.

No injuries. Ryle got the gate. Boost their SOS. Played at the PIT. Could have been worse. Kids seemed to have enjoyed the experience.

Elder would beat CCH by 30 points. They might be better at every position.

Ryle is back at it with their lone running play. Needless to say, Elder has figured out a way to stop it. Beautiful night, unbelievable place to watch a HS football game!

Scores still aren’t updated. League still can’t figure out how to create a schedule in advance. Some things never change.

He's certainly a stud and a great kid. Hopefully he stays at Ryle, but I'll be rooting for him wherever he ends up.

I've learned to look at the bright side with this group. They're certainly not the best Ryle team to roll through. Obviously, they are missing some key ingredients, but playing a top notch team in a hostile environment is a memory they'll have forever. Injuries can happen anywhere/anytime. Yeah, it would be nice to have a couple cupcakes on the schedule, but I commend the kids for staying committed and doing their best vs probably the toughest schedule they've ever had.

Congrats to Highlands. Awesome atmosphere and such a great place to watch a football game. They got the job done. Their offense made enough plays to win the game, but certainly will need to dramatically improve to hang w/ CCH and some of the other top 5A schools I've seen. As mentioned, Ryle's offense is embarrassingly bad. I don't think another QB would have made any difference when the play calling is that predictable. They run the same basic stretch run play over and over and over again. England is a load, but any well coached, disciplined team can beat one player and one play! Highlands base D is a 3 man front. Why not try going under center and run a power play to England w/ a full back? Seems that suits his size and power much better. Also, would set up play action to their speedy receivers that aren't being utilized. They need to face the facts, their QB's are not very good, but all of them are capable of dink and dunk pass plays. If nothing else, it should help get more first downs and give their poor defense a break. Worst call of the night for Ryle was putting Cusick on offense down 27-0 w/ 3:30 left in the game. The kid is probably the team's best player who is battling an injury. Very unfortunate for him that he got hurt again. Not sure how bad it is, but it certainly didn't look good. Coaches should be ashamed of themselves for that blunder.

I think Highlands can forget about challenging CCH this year. That’s not going to happen. Their offense is average at best. Unfortunately for Ryle, their offense is much worse. Not sure why Ryle refuses to go under center and give England a fullback.

Looks like they’re still working on it. Some of the scores aren’t accurate, either.

Ryle’s play calling was very predictable. England is a horse and had a great game, but they certainly need to mix it up a lot more. Had an opportunity to put that game away but chose to run basically the same play almost the entire 2nd half. Ryle’s defense did a great job neutralizing Lee. He had his moments, but was kept in check for most of the game. It seemed both Cusicks had his number. As mentioned, Ryle’s kicking game was dreadful. 2 missed PAT’s and an ugly attempt at a short FG.
