Bandits beat UR Juniors 24-20 in a classic. Congrats Bandits! UR beat Bandits JR Youth 44-0. Not the Bandits best game. That game should have been the Super Bowl. Congrats on a great season!

#5 seed (BC Rebels) knocked off #1 seed (Spartans) in the JR Youth bracket. Congrats to the Rebels! Seems the Spartans weak schedule (somehow avoided the top 5 teams) proved to hurt them in the end.

I counted 9 turf fields in NKY. I find it hard to believe the NKYFL couldn’t plan ahead and reserve as many fields as needed to ensure all playoff games are on turf. These are fields they are currently using throughout the course of the season and for the rest of the playoffs already. Mills Road is complete garbage every year by the end of the season. Games should not be played there. I coached 2 games there yesterday (and won both). Kids, coaches, refs, parents shouldn’t have to deal w/ that slop pit when we have other options.

Fields were embarrassingly bad today. I heard multiple refs say it as well. 4-6” inches of standing water on the sidelines, the field was 4-6” of sludge.

Correction..Junior Youth

The undefeated Union Raider Junior team beat the undefeated Junior Spartans 38-0. Running clock before half. Spartans got the #1 seed over the Union Raiders in the playoffs. I think it’s time for the NKYFL to consider a different way to seed!

Still baffled why so many people are interested in a HS football altercation. It was an in-house issue and was handled accordingly.

I’ve watched Ryle get spanked by both Trinity and Cov. Hard to gauge, but I certainly think it’s fair to assume it would be a game. I’d give the edge to Trinity because they seem to have the speed advantage, but I wouldn’t bet against Cov and Coach Eviston. He’s got those kids dialed in.

I went to Miami. Great campus w/ great academics. Remember, big time players in KY dont always pan out on the big stage. He’s going to a D1 program w/ little to no expectations. Great fit. Wish him the best!
