What are the games to watch this week in the NKYFL? It seems like there have been a lot of mismatches this year.

Union Raiders Midgets beat the Bengal Tigers 19-0. Union Raiders Midget Youth beat Bengal Tigers 13-0. Big thanks to the Bengal Tigers for assembling a Midget Youth team to play Union Raiders. UR was scheduled to play the Spartans, but there was some confusion with the start time. They had many kids play 2 games back to back games! You'd think by now NKYFL would have the schedule sorted out, but apparently that's too much to ask.

Cov has a special season in the works. I hope they keep it going. Great coach and kids with an inspiring story. Very hard not to root for them, regardless where you're from!

Any word on how the #'s look around the league? I heard the Ft. Thomas youth teams are considering joining the NKYFL. Any truth to that?

As long as ALL of the teams are truly aligned by their HS districts, I cannot either. I think there is some concern about all of the "waivers" that allow kids to play out of district. It makes for an unbalanced distribution of talent which creates all sorts of issues. Not sure how it was done, but the best way is redistrict with no waivers and grand-fathered-in exceptions.

Anyone want to take a stab at projecting the favorites to win each division (BCPWFBL and NKYFL)? I don't know enough, otherwise I'd give it a try.

Midget Youth is possible too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bandits won 3 of the 4. I think they're probably favorite in 2 and slight underdogs in 2. Still, very impressive year regardless of the outcome. Great year for the Red Devils too!
