As I understand it a vote was taken and a majority of schools currently playing lacrosse voted against it becoming a KHSAA sport and remaining a club sport. Any idea why that would be?

To the original question, Trinity as the first to win football and basketball in the same school year. Interesting point all 3 won the basketball title with multi-sport players.

A couple of years ago St. X had a fall sweep. Golf, Cross Country, Soccer and Football. They also won swimming that year so they had at least 5 in one school year.

I would venture to guess that most HS sports fans are like me. They will follow their team to the tournament but if their team isn't in they aren't going.

Then there's more overlap with football and even less kids that will play both sports.

He was also HC at Oldham County and was an assistant at Trinity last season.

Carmel was very young last year so they return almost everyone. It will be Trinity's first game with a new starting QB and no Moore and it will be at Carmel. Warren Central will have very good athletes all over the field again. Trinity was lucky to escape with the win at their place last season. Moeller will be Moeller, new coach or no and the game will be on their home turf. Also as I alluded to regarding Carmel, there's no Moore to outrun the Moeller defense. I don't know that any of them will beat Trinity but of all the games Trinity plays these are the teams that have the best shot IMO.

Carmel, Warren Central, Moeller

Gonna be pretty hard to improve on 15-0. Just saying. Anyplace else I'd be concerned that a team had to replace the starting QB off an undefeated team but it will be 2 years in a row Trinity's done it. Kevin Wallace may get X back to the top but it won't be this year, Male lost their best playmaker, what NKY 6A had is gone, Scott County is the only other team in KY with a shot. Can anyone say 27?

This may be petty but how sad is it the kids that win the 6th and 7th region, both boys and girls, don't get to cut down the nets? They give the winning team a new net but it isn't even close to the same. There's really no excuse now that they are playing the 4 championship games over 4 nights with no double headers. No reason the nets can't be cut and then replaced.

According to posts on my Facebook and Twitter feeds March is National Athletic Training month, who knew? It got me to wondering in this day and age of litigation and concussions how many high schools have or don't have full time trainers covering their games and practices. I did some googling and found this site LINK that shows schools in Kentucky with trainers. Does you school have a trainer, full time?

This is a mental game. Jay Scrubb and David Johnson from a talent standpoint will be the best players in the floor and Justin Powell isn’t far behind. Last year Ballard got in Trinity’s head early and stayed there. Can they do it again? I honestly believe that the reason that Renner has chosen not to play Trinity during the regular season is because when he has had to face the Rocks twice in the second season Trinity has been able to make adjustments to better handle their pressure. Unknown variable, officials from the 12th region. So far in the games I’ve seen they’ve been pretty good. This is going to be a packed house that’s loud. The game will be fast paced and could get out of control if the refs can’t manage it. If Ballard is allowed to get very physical (and if Trinity’s trinity is playing well they may have to) that could swing the game in Ballard’s favor.

3 observations. X’s point guard is not good. What purpose does Mike Glaser serve? Without Keisler next year X will be bad.

The Ballern Brugles would be the second best team in their district.

First point I want to make, I don't wish Seneca any ill. I do hope the move is good for them. That said they are going on their 3rd coach in 3 years. I thought the kids that were on the team last year played hard but there just weren't many of them. I think they had less then 30 players dressed when they played Trinity in the first round of the playoffs, Even at 5A if they can't improve their numbers they will have a hard tome competing with anyone.

I don't see how just the drop in class will make a miraculous change in Seneca's fortunes.
