I know a player very much like that at Assumption and 5'3" on best day, but yeah, she won't be a Division 1 player based on that height alone. She will just keep playing and have a chip on her shoulder towards the so-called Division 1 players.

Oh I would be remiss if I didn't mention Bullitt East as well! They will be very strong and right there with Butler and Male as top teams in this area in my opinion. I am not leaving out Anderson County or Scott County on purpose. Just don't consider them to be "this area" although I do put Bullitt, Oldham and Shelby County teams in that conversation.

Yep and there is nothing wrong with that at all! I just personally love the fact that he lists so many girls on this list, who my daughter will completely shut down and not allow them to do anything offensively when they are supposed to be top notch division 1 or division 2 players! I wish all of the kids luck and success on their seasons!

Great topic, and I fully expect Butler and Male to be the top 2 teams in this area! Ballard, Assumption, Mercy, Holy Cross and Eastern will all be strong again as well. I think North Oldham and Shelby County will both be very strong as well! Should be a fun year again, but I expect Butler and Male to be the class of this area.

That's fair enough, and I appreciate your comments about those "daughters/girls." However, I know who would have led your team this year on OBP, but that's your deal for missing that, and we're happy to have her on our team! Best of luck in the Fall and glad to see all of our teams representing!

Oh and those two players were two of the best players on the Outlaws if not the best (I didn't mean to suggest that they were not two top players), but they are arguably two of the best players on the Sluggers as well. You certainly are entitled to your opinion, and I know that Sluggers team for sure has other great players, maybe 6 or 7 are as good or better than those two. I don't believe that to be the case, but you're entitled to your opinion on them. My point is that putting a uniform on doesn't make you a great player. Regardless, that 14U Sluggers team was a great team, had a great showing in SD and represented our state very well.

That is simply not accurate. First, the Outlaws won last years 14B as a first year 14U team so not a C tournament. Second, one of those players led the Sluggers in hitting and homeruns in SD and according to 3 different parents there played flawlessly in the field. You are entitled to your opinion but the actual statistics don't support the comments. The Outlaws team referenced from 2014 and 2015 were never run ruled by any Sluggers or Stunners team. They did lose 3 games to that 00 Stunners team that is a really nice group, 9-3, 5-3 and 3-2 (in extra innings). They also split with the 01 Sluggers in 4 games as I said. Those are the facts so suggesting that they were outclassed is silly. My point was very simply that at the lower level, I don't think it matters as much but as they get older, I believe they have to travel more to get exposure to better teams. That is not a knock on any organization, kid or coach. In fact, it means that the Sluggers and Stunners get better and get kids more exposure as they get older. That's a compliment, not a criticism.

Going to be a great class from what I have seen on the HS and travel ball circuit! Some great talent in 2020 class!

^^^^THIS times a thousand!^^^^ Putting a name next to a group of kids does not make them better. Might get them into tournaments that other teams can't get into, but probably the two best players on that 14U Sluggers team this year that finished 7th in SD played for another travel organization as 12U in 2014 and 14U in 2015, the River City Outlaws (where they weren't the two best players mind you), and beat those Sluggers teams and Stunners teams left and right, and yes, the Sluggers and Stunners top teams. Those two Outlaws teams also won World Series titles in Panama City USFA. Could those teams have been lower level? No idea, but they played all of those teams you mentioned and either beat them, split games or lost 1 run games. As the players get older, it surely gets better and weeded out and you have to get to those PGF and National Showcase tournaments but at 10U and 12U and even 14U, I don't agree at all.

14U Louisville Cyclones won USSSA World Series in Destin and include several players who started for High School teams as Freshmen last year. Will be interesting to see how they fare as a first year 16U team this Fall and next Spring.

Butler, Butler and Butler, best team in the state. Jaelen Penn from Butler is incredible but the Duvall girl from Bullitt East, probably best if the state. Of course, now that she is not going to uk and going to UofL, she will get screwed out of Miss Basketball awards but whatever. Going to be a fun year but Butler is just loaded!

All the best players in state should be going to UofL and not uk! Men and women!

I am not sure why anyone would be incredibly negative on any team, but this Butler team is going to be very good. Very deep and talented and always well coached. Should be a state contender for sure.

Perhaps we should just talk about the top freshmen in your respective region or Area. I am curious how the season went for the Class of 2019 as I think they are very talented. So what did people see in your region/area. GO!

Ummm okay, they're like 25 minutes away and by all accounts, people get brought in for jobs all the time and just happen to have great kid athletes for schools in that area.

I like Manual a lot. Still think Butler should be clear #1 right off as they are just loaded! I would include most all of those teams already listed as well. Mercy lost much but they will still be solid. If Elizabeth Anderson could ever get healthy, they would jump right up but unfortunately, that kid's poor luck continues. I like Butler in the 6th Region and Sacred Heart, Male or Manual in 7th.

No Catholic Private Schools are held to a higher standard in general, which is why a kid can't transfer from Public to Private without sitting out a year. but they surely can transfer from Private to Public, play immediately without question 1 asked!

Bullbleep! The kid she went after is as meek as a lamb! The only jawing was predominantly from Etown's point guard, who elbowed, shoved and jawed after virtually every play. Etown was called for 3 technical fouls BEFORE the kid started laying haymakers on the most humble, unassuming kid who could ever play the game. Don't give me that CRAP! I was there, and I was trying to be nice before on here since the Etown coach seemed to be addressing it, but you are wrong!
