Most of the shoe teams don't. One or two may play in Louisville. But normally the closest they get is Indy I think

Steven's a monster; no doubt about it. I don't think he's reached his full potential. I do think the rest of the pack will start to close the gap. Soon those young 15 and 16 yr olds will be stronger and their bodies will be more developed

Point proven, I failed to mention Indy Elite team along with a lot of other teams. There are so many kids in the class that have not been properly evaluated. JJ Reed, Andrew Taylor, Mickey Pearson etc etc....most don't know these names yet. Trevon appears to be very special; thus he gets his own thread.

The 2018 class is loaded. There are several kids that don't get much buzz on this site simply because we haven't seen them all. I travel around the AAU circuit with this age group...it is loaded. Trevon and Steven scratch the surface; they MAY be the top 2, time will tell. If you get a chance get out and check out the Travelers, Magic, Hoop Dreams, WKY Elite, Team Manimal and others.

Is that score a typo? The Magic is way too talented to lose like that. Maybe some injuries or something during the game that someone might be able to shed light on

Spot on. They return almost everyone from last years team. And they will defend anybody. Same song different year for the Tigers

Cobe is a very good guard. I have been very impressed with him. He a Trevon use to play on the same AAU team. Cobe is with Hoop Dreams this year and Trevon is well.......jury still out on where he might end up. I think Cobe is the complete guard though. With the right pieces could have a very good year

Dalton is developing quite nicely...but shoot the rock well might be a stretch. He will absolutely be a force this upcoming season though. Much improved from last year...IMO

Steven plays 16U AAU Basketball and competes against mostly 16yr old kids. I don't dislike Steven or Danny...a fact is a fact. That's akin to having Tony Jackson or David Sloan playing on the 16U circuit...yea I think they would probably dominate also. Stop playing with words...BTW Steven turns 18 later in the year (so I guess you're right; he's not ABOUT to turn 18)

Good point about 17U....but this kid plays 16U and is about to turn 18yrs old. Just because everyone else does it doesn't make it right. The funny part to me is he is compared to 16yr olds in the state, in some instances 15yr olds....crazy

He dropped 44 on a good Speice Indy team 16U...Later he dropped 3 while playing 17U. I'm not knocking Steven; I like him and Danny....I just think it's absurd to compare them to 16 yr old kids in the state...BTW they both will be 18 before this calendar year ends

Please stop it with the comparisons of Steven and Danny to the 16 year olds in the state. Everyone knows they are not 16 years old. And if you've stood next to Steven you know he has a very developed frame much ahead of most 16 yr olds. Steven does work extremely hard at his craft; and congrats on his recent success. You guys make it seem like you're a bad person when you point out the obvious that a lot of these kids are "held back". Like holding back is some new badge of honor

I don't know what his personal recruitment looks like at this point. The workout was a good start for the kid though. He's played in two tourney's this year for Hoop Dreams; one in Indy and the other in Dallas. In Indy he played some 15u and some 16u. In Dallas he played all 16's. Though he played well; I wouldn't say he lit it up by no means. Again not knocking the kid, but to you guys point; the sample size with Hoop Dreams thus far I don't think is that great right now. What D.A. is getting is the opportunity to play and practice against some of the best talent available(he has some very talented teammates)...and I think that's more valuable for him at this point of his development.

I think we should let the kid grow; mentally and physically. He is a good ball player at this point; and this is no knock on him because I'm a fan...but he has a LONG way to go before we start talking UK or anything of the sorts. If you're a fan; appreciate it and enjoy the ride.

He plays with the 16u in some games on the Adidas circuit with HoopDreams. He's getting a lot of exposure and has done well in the games he's played. Very even keel kid; never really gets rattled on the court. Big future for the kid

I need to get out and see these kids play more. The 2 to 3 game sample size I have on a lot of them may not be enough. Because I am really dumbfounded by some of the selections of all these all state teams, especially the honorable mentions......geeeesh

This just leaves me shaking my head. One player from the 5th region HM. There is a disconnect somewhere in the state about things like this. It seems to me some regions get the benefit of the doubt. I've watched a lot of these guys personally on this list and I just don't see it. IMO.

Example 1-Kid plays the 3 on his high school team. Does ok during the season. Then goes into the AAU season and plays a lot of 1 and 2 plays really well. Recruiters and college coaches see this and say to kid (you need to develop more at the one or the two before we can offer). Kid goes back to high school season and high school coach insists on kid playing the 3. It's mostly about fit and favorable positions for next level. Unfortunate but it's the lay of the land right now
