I see where they played in 88 but not sure the other year..... I would pull for mayfield in this game..... but I doubt kids that not only have a 34 game winning streak...but weren't even born in 88 "don't want any" because of a game played nearly 30 years ago haha

What 2 years did mayfield play UC?? Had to be mid 90's at the latest...I'm not sure how they were then but they have been pretty dominant lately...34 consecutive wins is not easy on any level. Would love to see this year's Mayfield team hook up with UC.

Union city traveled to Pennsylvania this past week to play Delome Catholic winning 56-0. Our local news covers UC every week and said they could not find an opponent within 200 miles to fill this week's schedule. Tonight McCracken is leading a Stl team 35-6 in 2nd quater with alot of starters not dressed. UC holds 34 game winning streak just curious why no wky teams schedule them and if they did how would we stack up against the Tennessee talent

Hate to hear this, even as a mustang fan Trajon is one of my all time favorites on the high school level. Hopefully it's not a serious injury, Mayfield rely heavily on him and they Def work him to death!!

I agree Hughes didn't have his best night but he did make some plays when it counted. He definitely has to learn to secure the ball before he gets to UK. The biggest surprise to me tonight was the absence of Tyce Daniel. .other than the TD that got called back I can't remember us going to him much. He was basically a non factor and IMO he's our most dangerous playmaker.

I think besides trajons long TD the rushing game was fairly even. To be honest I figured he would break a few more. Haven't seen the stats but cash picked up positive yards on most of his carries along with Hughes.

Glad to see them get this win.

This was a great game, can't compare either of the PT games.....I think at this point both teams are considerably better than PTHS...Mustangs controlled the tempo for the majority of the game, but if not for a taunting call on a Mayfield defender late in the 4th we would have been looking at a long FG just to send it to O.T. Either way it was a great win against a tough Cardinal team and the end to a very impressive streak. This makes 2 years in a row beating mayfield hopefully we can continue our own streak in this rivalry.

Last home loss for cards was Caldwell in 2008...they also lost to Crittenden at home that year...as well as on the road in the playoffs. I believe the Caldwell game was 35-7

Yes marshall county has struggled for a while now. The move from 6a to 5a didn't help much...they still lack size and athletes...I believe they beat mayfield 3 consecutive years around 06,07 and 08.....now they are the team everyone schedules for homecoming. Ballard has had some good regular seasons but they don't do much in the playoffs

Trajon Bright just took a screen pass for a TD. Made lots of PT defenders look silly....not sure the yardage but it was a long one. Cards lead 21-14

Qb dropped the ball on the 1 yd line as he ran into the end zone untouched but they called it a touchdown

Mayfield looks very sloppy!! Turn over on downs Muff punt Fumble punt return Bright fumbled on a carry in the red zone. PT leading 14-7
