Like I said I did not see last week's game so I can't tell u what either team looked like. But I know tonight's team looked like the mustangs from last year, and I'm hoping it continues. Next few weeks will answer all these questions

I just hope this was the real mustang team (minus penalties and turnovers) and not the one that fell to PT 21-7. Drive safe dragonfire

I did not see PT beat Mccracken 21--7 but I did see McCracken take care of a solid Warren Central team 56-35.....so if this week's team is the one that's going to show up I think the mustangs belong on this list. Not looking past Madisonville in week 3 but tonight's team I think can beat mayfield in a close one week 4.

Hughes has played better than last week but tonight has been the Tyce Daniel show...I'm not sure his exact stats but he's having a big night. If hughes can't hold onto the ball he won't be playing offense at uk

If Cash Jones doesn't start the game off any better than he did against PT then hopefully WC won't have a chance to double or triple team Zyaire......hopefully he will be taking snaps. I believe the coaching staff put him at wide out not only because he will be playing there at UK....but in hopes that Jones could deliver, but he is useless at WR if we can't get him the ball. I feel more comfortable with him at QB where he has a chance to break one on every play. If the mustangs coaching staff makes the proper adjustments I'll take MC 35-21

DeSales schedule may be stronger but PT, Mccracken, Graves, Murray, Corbin and a Caldwell team that will be much better by week 10 is no cake walk. So both teams will be tested. I think this is a case where either team could be opening the season with the number one ranking...and really in the big picture it doesn't matter if either is ranked first or last...the play on the field will answer all these questions.....I hope they meet up but I sure wouldn't look past cal, murray or OC if I was either team.

In the last 6 years mayfield is 85 & 6....6 title game appearances with 4 rings. 1a or not that's beyond impressive...and until a 2a team can step up and beat them they deserve the number 1 spot.
