Final

Nice win dragons

Good job Dragons!!! How did Chance Shanklin do tonight?

Glad to see them get this win.

Good job Dragons!!! How did Chance Shanklin do tonight?

Shanklin threw four touchdowns against one INT (which was a tip drill). Ran well too. Not sure on yardages, but I'm guessing passing was somewhere between 200-250 and rushing around 50-60. All in all a great night.

Central needed this win in the worst way. I was pretty confident going in, and it didn't take them any time at all to justify it. They gave up one first down on the opening drive, then forced a Meade punt. The snap went over the punters head, and the Dragons got the ball on the Meade 21. Shanklin hit Murray on a slant for six. They forced a three and out, got the ball in Green Wave territory, and three plays later Shanklin hit Greer for another score. ANOTHER three and out, another time starting in Meade territory, and after a hold backed them up, Shanklin hit Murray for a 59 yard score (Murray did most of the work on that one). And that was basically the story of the game. Meade slowed them up a bit in the second quarter, but they could never move the ball at all against Central.

This was a real boon for the team, and now they just have to survive next week mentally and physically, and get into district play. South Warren obviously looks dominant and is probably beyond them, but the Franklin team that people were spooked by doesn't appear to have materialized. I think the Dragons have a strong shot at the #2 seed.

Does Shanklin play defense also or just QB?

Congrats! Warren Central! Brutal schedule! Great road Win! See ya next week at the El!

I think officially he's listed as a CB or S in addition to QB, but it's really just QB. They'd have to be in bad shape I'd think for him to see time on D.
