I just don't see the real benefit. I think having the day off to rest is far more valuable at this stage in the players' lives. And God forbid you give them full time to focus on their school work.

If there's a contest on BluegrassPreps for a school whose fans manage to bring their program up in completely unrelated threads, I'm pretty sure Highlands is winning that competition in spades.

Curious to hear how many teams around the state have practice on Sundays. I'm not much of a fan of it personally.

I don't disagree, but having 35 points rang up on you in the 4th quarter of a game is concerning. CCH was up 42-13 going into the 4th. Did they have their starting defense in the whole time, or had they pulled some starters at that point?

So reading between the lines here, Simpson and Wooley had an ongoing issue and it came to a head in the last handful of days, correct? I sure hope this didn't all play out directly in front of the team. Heck of a way to try to damage a head coach's credibility and to set a bad example for kids by calling out the coach in front of them and then storming off and quitting.

The only reason I pointed that out was because Birdman was digging on Ryle for not having any state titles. He's trying to compare state titles, so I was comparing competition to achieve state titles.

Ryle was a 4A school from 2000-2006 and 6A ever since then. FYI Highlands would have far fewer state titles if they had been playing in the same 4A/6A class all of those years.

I'm assuming your post was aimed at me. To answer your question, theres nothing wrong with someone being a fan of more than one program. I was just pointing out that Deer hunter is claiming to be "blue all the way", and in the same breath he's trying to act like he has firsthand knowledge that CCH and the PHM are unhappy and are dying for a win because they've lost faith in their program. Deer hunter thinks he's being sneaky and I'm calling him out on it. He might blend in when he's in his deer stand, but he doesn't blend in when he tries to act like he's part of the PHM. Case in point: he said he's been in the stands at every game, yet I quoted where he said he was at the Lloyd/Grant County game at the exact same time as Covcath was playing Sycamore. If you flip through his previous posts, he speaks with obvious knowledge about the Grant County program, yet he has no knowledge to speak of about CCH. Just trying to point out a few things. I'll let you decide if he's genuinely a fan of both teams, or if he's just an impersonator.

Here's your chance to come clean, Deer hunter. Like Voice Of Reason asked, you're a Grant County fan, correct? I clicked on your profile and looked over your past posts. This is the first CCH prediction thread you've posted in and you've never posted in a single CCH final score thread. However, exactly 40 of your 80 posts to date have been made in the Grant County preseason thread, and in Grant County game prediction and final score threads. You were even the person who started the Grant County/Carroll County and Grant County/Harrison County prediction threads, not to mention the fact that you accounted for 75% of the posts in those two threads. Your attempt to come off as someone who follows Covcath is not a very good one.

Clearly you weren't in the stands for the Sycamore game, because you reported in the final score thread from the Lloyd/Grant County game that you were at that game on Friday night, and not at the CCH/Sycamore game. I've quoted your post below, just in case you forgot about it. Unless...wait...are you magically able to be in two places at the same time???

False. I'm looking at the teams. And you and I know there's no way of "proving it". Scott and Highlands don't play each other this year. However, it's going to be interesting to see what happens when Highlands plays Dixie Heights and Scott plays Simon Kenton. That should give us some better insight, and I'm pretty confident that it's going to become pretty clear that Highlands would be the winner if the Birds and the Eagles played each other.

Can someone clarify, for those of us who don't know what "redbook" rules are?

I just can't possibly see Scott beating Highlands. I love seeing Scott's program improve, but I just don't think they're going to beat Highlands. The fact that Scott had Holy Cross put up 39 points on them is very telling, IMO. No disrespect to Scott, but if you were to hand them Highlands' schedule, there's no way they're going to do better with it than the Birds have.

You're right, man. Boone County is a REAL killer this season! And after looking over some of the video from that CCH vs LexCath game, looks like the Raiders took on a REAL murderers row the first three weeks. Not one of Ryle's opponents thus far has a winning record right now.
