The biggest difference in the two is the 8th grade class...Boyle Co is very talented down thru the 6th grade.

I don't know much about Franklin Co and their depth but it would be VERY difficult to keep him off the field. I think the kid is D1 material. Changes direction on a dime and will flat knock your head off on D.

This is what I think.

BCMS is not competing in that tourney. We are in the Salt River Conference and choose not to compete in both playoffs at the same time...the decision makers believe that's too much football and most parents agree. If they chose to play in it I would be shocked. We could however win it if we played. This team is LOADED on offense and defense.

Yes...David is a great player and a fantastic young man.

Strange play indeed...David Walker scored but somehow there was a touchback. I'm assuming he fumbled the ball thru the end zone and out of bounds before he crossed the goal line. Behind the play there were off setting personal fouls but we couldn't figure out what was called.

BCHS JV ran the ball w/Crawford and Danville did not adjust well at all. Plus on offense I thought Danville got way too conservative. Danville starting QB Zach Thornton got hurt very early and they had to play David Walker (who plays CB on the Varsity team) at QB. He only played 2 qtrs but was impressive running the ball. It was a pretty sloppy game. BCHS had 5 TOs and Danville had a couple (one late up a couple scores) and gave up an on-side kick w/1:40 left that untimely cost them the game.

Robinson (WH Freshman) is a flat out STUD! Boyle MS played against him and I'm telling you he is a fantastic football player and seems to be a good kid.

No idea...LexCath may have some from this past weekend. Then again, they may have burned it.

If there is a rematch in the conference title game it'll be on the BCHS turf and that is a huge advantage for our speed. Hope your lineman get healthy soon.

Well it certainly wasn't unexpected from anyone inside of Boyle County. More than half of the starters from last years BCMS A Team (8th grade) that beat Anderson 26-0 were 7th graders. This years team is significantly better than last year on both sides of the ball. Laphart is a really good player and seems to be a great kid.

I personally don't care about the KYMSFA(?), I'm sure it's a fine organization and kids love playing in it. But this conversation as far as BCMS is concerned is "Why isn't Boyle in it?" Or "I would like to see Boyle play in it." All I did is tell you why we don't. Some of the kids and parents disagree but I believe in what our administration is doing because there is proof it works. People that know a lot more than me have made this call so I'm really, really good with it. Could we win it? Without question. But I won't lose one second of sleep on the subject and our kids will continue to prepare to add to the wall on the back of Rebel Stadium.

Yes they did...not bad after a week of "bad practices". Lol

It's irrelevant because not all the teams play in it....it's no more of a "state championship" than our conference title. And I made the post clear the second time when I specifically told you to ignore that part of the original post and look at the rest of it. We play for state titles in high school and our model works fine.
