23-0 and you are correct about 8th grade class playing as 7th graders too. Average margin of victory last year 35-10 and this year was 47-9 (could have been worse).

The difference in Boyle and all of their competition is that with all of that talent/speed...we can throw the ball too. The BCMS QB threw for around 40 TDs in his career w/only 2 INT. FYI...Smith was injured and missed the last several weeks of the season and will not be participating in Team KY. He is however one of the best players in the state.

We have an A team and a B team...last year 10-11 of the starting positions were taken by 7th graders on the A team. This year all of those players were in the 8th grade. Last year they were 11-0. This year 12-0.

It's a discussion board...it's what it's for. Belfry has a great team and should be proud of it...as should Boyle. We weren't full strength either, nobody was by seasons end. BCMS average margin of victory was 47-9 after it being 35-10 last year w/11 starting positions held by 7th graders (8th graders now). Undefeated 2 years running with a very balanced attack, tons of speed and a starting defense that gave up 4 TDs all year. It would have been a great game versus Belfry. See you guys in a couple of years.

It IS playing multiple times because our Salt River Conference plays on Tuesday and then we'd have to come back and play on Saturday. Anderson Co had to do it and it took a toll on them. But you're right. It's different strokes for different folks.

Just the way Chuck Smith likes it...tough. He can keep the teams attention. I really like Boyle to get to LexCath. I just hope we take care of the ball a little better this time.

No it's not. This is not a KHSAA sanctioned "state championship"...it's a great tourney but in our coaches mind it's asking too much of our kids to play multiple games a week for 3+ weeks. In speaking with some Anderson Co parents recently...they agreed.

Nobody is 100% healthy right now.

Testing their mettle? Lol It's very simple. Our coaches feel it is not in our kids best interest to play multiple games in a week for several weeks. We are already in a conference and it's been very beneficial over the years to do it the way we do. Besides...this group will see Belfry in the coming years anyway. Congrats on the win.

After seeing them play today...Boyle Co MS would have an excellent shot vs Belfry.

After seeing Belfry today I gotta say I don't think they could handle Boyle Co.

Heard from someone who would know that Boyle Co, Bowling Green, Belfry and Johnson are the four best MS teams in KY. #statechampstobe

Well...Reese Smith is back playing basketball this year, so you got your work cut out.

It was 20-6 at half...Anderson scored a long run. BCMS made a defensive adjustment and that stopped the sweeps. Anderson held the ball literally the entire 3rd qtr and turned the ball over on downs on the first play of the 4th at around the BCMS 10. They got inside the red zone maybe 2 times and failed to score. The game was never in doubt. ACMS played the style you have to to beat BCMS. Keep our offense off the field and don't have a turnover. Once the 3rd qtr was gone BCMS got VERY conservative and ran out the clock. Got our back-to-back football titles, now time for the 3-peat in Bball.

Boyle County MS - 26 Anderson County MS - 6 Final

BCYF JV (3/4 grade) Allstar team defeated Mercer Co all stars 18-6 last night in horrendous weather. Going to Madison Southern and playing in a bowl game this weekend. Go Lil Rebels!
