Congrats to the JC players and Head Coach Scott Holbrook. Great game to watch as JC connects on a bomb from Riley Preece to Westin May with just over 30s left in the game to win it (was 2nd and about 5 when JC went shotgun). Great effort by BG as the game was one that whoever had the ball last would likely win. BG scored with 1:31 left to take lead after trailing 32-20 in the 4th Q, but JC was able to get points on the last drive.

 

This is JC's 4th KYMSFA state title (2 8th Grade Division 1, 2 7th Grade). Just an unbelievable game to watch.

As stated above it was a 'last one with the ball wins' game.

 

In the second half BG was down two scores and scored. They recover the ensuing on-sides and run an efficient drive to take the lead.

 

JC leverages its pounding run game until its inside the 30 with around 30 seconds left with a 2nd down. They go for the TD via a great pass and equally great catch by the well covered receiver.

 

But they left enought time for BG to take a final shot with 8 seconds that was intercepted to seal the win.

 

It one of those D3 Championship games that fellls like a high level high school playoff game.
