  1. 🦅 The Holy War XIII 🛡️ This rivalry has produced some great games in recent years - 2019, 2020, 2023, 2025. I think we're in for another one. I'll take LexCath for the win with a great defensive effort to neutralize Whelan and a potent LCA offense.
  2. That night brought out the best in JB Woolum - 166 on the ground and three touchdowns, plus an interception. He will factor prominently in the outcome this week.
  3. I'm being heavily influenced by how each team looked against Johnson Central. Definitely feeling Pikeville this week. You know these two will get after each other, so a timely turnover could very well swing the result one way or the other.
  4. These two have a Thundering Herd mentality. 🦬 🔗: Source
  5. Johnson Central 🦅 vs. Pulaski County 🏴‍☠️ 🗞️ | Size Matters In Somerset As Mighty Maroons Host Battered JC 🦅 | The quintessential mountain men and longtime purveyors of intimidation. Currently laid low amidst the program's worst start in seventeen years after being taken to the woodshed by Pikeville. 🏴‍☠️ | The Maroons are channeling vintage Johnson Central, mowing down the opposition behind a wave of maroon muscle and star ball carrier Kasen Brock. They're making a triumphant return home after snatching victory from Corbin in the final minutes. ✏️ 📖 | JC was in peak form last year as the Golden Eagles piled up a robust 534 rushing yards and 50 points en route to a slightly surprising three score thrashing of the Maroons. Pulaski County leads the all-time series 3-2.
  6. Congrats to O-Cath on the running the City/County.
  7. Dawgs 🐶 vs. Jags 🐆 🗞️ | North Laurel Hosts Second Straight Top 5 Opponent ⚫🔴 | Coming off a bye week following a bruising, wire to wire battle with Ashland. Speed to burn, but down a quarterback. Defense has been stellar through three games. 🔵🟢 | NL is nothing if not battle hardened after dropping two games to Top 5 teams Corbin and Madison Central. Advantage Jags at QB, with Jude WcWhorter, a dual thousand yard passer and rusher last year, and well on pace again this season. ✏️ 📖 | All that speed got Lawrence County nowhere last year, as the Jaguars blanked the Dawgs with one of EKY's top defenses. NL leads the all-time series 2-0.
  8. Last week - playing a good team on the road - was an opportunity for Russell to inspire some belief that they can compete with the Tomcats. The Devils fell pretty flat, mainly on offense. Yet again, I don't think they have the horses to run with Ashland. Russell needs a fast start and Ashland has to help them out. I don't see that happening. Tomcats by at least four scores.
  9. You can't throw this much better than Camden Page did. Right in the bucket. 🪣
  10. Atherton 🐦‍⬛ vs. Eastern 🦅 🗞️ | Unbeaten Eagles Defend The Nest From Conspiracy Of Ravens 🐦‍⬛ | Manual drew blood from Atherton last week, handing the Ravens their first loss. The same thing happened last season, with Atherton bouncing back for a four score shutout win over Eastern the following week. 🦅 | Eastern is off to its first 4-0 start in nearly twenty years. Quarterback Isaac Rodriguez has been sharp, they've got multiple backs to share the load in the ground game, and the defense has shown promise. Is it enough to deal the Ravens a second straight loss? A win here probably earns Eastern a little love from the polls.
  11. It's barrel week in Carter County!!!! I can't imagine @16thBBall Fan going against his Raiders. I'm siding with East, as well. They have a tight grip on the rivalry. Just for the hell of it, I'd love to hear a pick from @barrel , too.
  12. East 🇨🇵 vs. West ☄️ 🗞️ | 56th Battle For The Barrel For the first time since 2013, both sides come in with a losing record (1-3). East has faced a far more challenging schedule, with its opponents sporting a combined 14-2 record, including Belfry in Week 1. West has competed defensively, but is still searching for an offensive identity. ✏️ 📖 | East Carter leads the rivalry 34-21, all-time. The barrel has resided in Grayson since 2022, with the Raiders winning the last four.
  13. Wofo 🐝 vs. GRC 🇾🇪 🗞️ | "Win-City' Welcomes Wofo As GRC Lays Its Cards On The Table 🔴⚫ | After quietly compiling a 4-0 mark and climbing to #7 in the polls, it's time for George Rogers Clark to step out of the shadows. Coach Dane Damron has retooled the offense, which is now running wide open. ⚫🟡 | The talent rich Jackets still haven't put it all together against a quality opponent, falling to Munford (TN) in Week 4. If that potential is ever fully realized, they're still a top contender in 5A. ✏️ 📖 | GRC leads the all-time series 11-6. Despite sandwiching Lexington, the two haven't met since 2002 and Wofo hasn't won in Winchester since 1992.
  14. FG attempt coming from Green County....it's no good. LaRue needs one knee to seal it.
  15. Great one going down in Hodgenville. 36-35 LaRue County 1:00 to go Green County with the ball at midfield.
  16. Wide open touchdown pass for Green County. Sounds like busted coverage on LaRue. 35-28 Dragons 6:43 remaining
  17. End of 3Q Manual 28 Atherton 14 A pick-six draws the Ravens within two scores.
  18. Indians are pulling away. End of 3Q MC 41 NL 23
  19. Touchdown Green County. 2-pt conversion is good. 28-21 Dragons 3:43 3Q
