  1. Of the 5 I've been to, I would rate... Wrigley GABP Turner Field Comiskey (New) Cleveland Municipal What a giant, cavernous, empty stadium Cleveland was. This was probably in the late 80s. My wife, on the other hand, has been to Fenway, Wrigley, AT&T in San Fran, and quite a few others. The nostalgia of Fenway didn't do it for her, so she hated it because it was so cramped.
  2. Remember watching the verdict in 10th grade geometry...I was pumped when they read it, because I didn't want him to be guilty. I knew he was a great player, but his playing career was before my time...I just always thought he was so cool on the Hertz commercials, running through the airport. The Made In America doc really is great, and provides a lot of insight.
  3. I called once, about 2 and a half years ago, when my 4 year old and I were hit head on while on Independence Station Rd. Our car came to rest in the ditch, which is usually a creek. Thankfully it was September, and it was pretty dry. Very grateful that everyone, including the driver of the other vehicle, was okay.
  4. I've gotten a couple of warnings, but thankfully none
  5. Commodus for sure...Not a death, but when Rocky knocked out Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, I was pretty excited.
  6. 1 ND Football 1 IU Basketball 1 Virginia Tech Football 1 Indiana Pacers 1 Liverpool - Premier League
  7. Campfire and Coffee by a long shot for me.
  8. Yeah...90 UNLV might have lost a few games, but by the time they got to the Title Game, they were a force of nature. Very much undervalued on this list. Larry Johnson in college was a man amongst boys. Offense was certainly much different then, so he played a lot more in the post, but probably the best comp for Zion Williamson that I could think of.
  9. Nice to see that Hill picked up his 4th foul for his head interfering with Zion's forearm.
  10. On the game winner...Didn't he take 3 steps after he picked up his dribble?
  11. Not that it does or doesn't have anything to do with Will Wade, or this case, but LSU has always picked up a surprising amount of big time recruits, especially for a school that doesn't really care about basketball.
  12. This Clemson team may (or may not) be an all-time great team, but that certainly was one of the all-time great single-game performances. They were more physical, more prepared, and more efficient in all 3 phases, than the team that has won 5 titles in the last decade. Quite a team performance.
  13. Right now...playing Alabama and Clemson, with the resources they have, and with 4 weeks to prepare, is a losing proposition for anyone. The only way you've got a chance against either of them is with a one week turnaround. People saying UGA deserved to be in...How 'bout this, don't get blown out by a borderline top 10 team in LSU. Yeah, they played Alabama tight...while Tua was hobbled, before he underwent the magical surgery...but, if they would have just taken care of business against LSU, they would have been in. Lastly, under the current academic/recruiting environment, Notre Dame will NEVER consistently compete with these Bama & Clemson programs (or for that matter, the other elites), especially when they have a month to prepare. They have some nice players, but the talent gap is WIDE. That said, if they go undefeated, against their schedule...they deserve to be in.
  14. Hard-fought game, and a big win for the Hoosiers. The free throw shooting is pretty bad, and has to improve, but they showed a lot of composure down the stretch. Really impressed with Nwora for Louisville...first time I had seen them play this year.
  15. 2 Items that I have a less than zero percent chance of ever doing: Going to the highest point in all 50 states, or at least the lower 48. Hiking the entire Appalachian Trail A third would be to go to a Champions League game at Anfield (Liverpool).
  16. @newarkcatholicfan not to jump the gun on you, as you may share some thoughts later, but I'd be interested to hear your opinion on how you think Pioneer would fare against the two 3A teams, Evansville Memorial and West Lafayette. It was an odd year, in that Pioneer was clearly the best team in 1A and 2A, and some feel they would have made a lot of noise in 3A, as well. Those 3A teams were very, very solid though.
  17. I'm always back and forth on Kelly...but when you consider the entire picture, he's right there in the 2nd tier, behind Saban, Dabo, & Urban. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he jumps to the pros in the next few years.
  18. Yes...finished 5-7. ND survived, and that's all that matters. Would have loved to see them play a lot better, but I think USC also played well, and deserves a lot of credit for making it such a hard-fought game.
  19. I've been, but it's been more than 10 years ago. Saw the legendary Bud Wright, who has been coaching for over 50 years at a 1A school, win his 8th state title. This year, the 1A game will likely be a blowout. Pioneer has a kid going to ND playing QB/S. He is a man amongst boys, and may be the best 1A player in state history. Warren Central/Carmel could be a big win for Warren, but they were seriously challenged by Center Grove last week, so who knows. The rest of the games have a chance to be good. I was planning to go, but my alma mater lost in 4A Semi-State to FW Dwenger, so those plans have changed. Hope you enjoy your time in Indy!
