Congratulations Trimble. SK could not hit the side of a barn tonight. I have to wonder how much of an effect 12 hours of bus rides had on the condition of this squad. They were all toast, not just one individual. Shelby did not do SK any favours either by scheduling the team furthest away with 8pm games.

SK is freight train that will only be stopped by a top 5 team in the state. Playing elite, unselfish ball right now. You can tell defence and rebounding is a focus. Really poised for a team with no seniors playing.

I would expect a KHSAA ruling in this case that is consistent with the rulings they have made in boys basketball on mid and late season transfers.

Getting recruited at the next level is largely a numbers game. Some you can influence (Speed, Agility, Strength, Weight, Explosiveness) , some you cannot (Height, Reach). I have too often seen better players passed over because they just didn't have the numbers. Conversely, I've seen players that performed poorly at camps, but were still highly recruited because they had the numbers. Its important you understand what those standards are for your son's position. Doug is very good.

Yeah, especially when Anderson, who is out of the tournament, crushed Holmes earlier this year!

I thought Carrol County was an excellent compromise location last year. Within 45 min of every region 8 member.

Is Mason County playing tight? I'm speculating, but could they be feeling the pressure of high expectations? 1 close call is one thing, but 2 is a pattern. Especially agaist opponents they handled easily before.

HHS very capable of coming back quickly. I did not expect this game to be this competitive though.

Sounds like some parents are upset about the PT of their Johnnies and Joes.

Of the SK games I have seen this year, this was by far the best played game of the year. There was no letting off the gas pedal in this one as SK had the penetration game. post game and perimeter shooting game all humming. Walton was intent on making sure Niece did not beat them, but the jump trapping and defense over loading opened up both the perimeter game and the post. SK also handled the press very well compared to most games played this season. I would hate to be an SK opponent looking at tape of this game. What do you try and take away? Triples, I give you credit for coming on here under these circumstances. Perhaps we will see you again at regionals.
