If so they should move the game to NKY!

SK led 16-15 in the final minute of the first period and got a basket to go up, 18-15.

From there, the Lady Pioneers had a big run to start the second, and it was 28-15 before Collins could catch their breath.

Much like the Owen-Oldham game, the loser just couldn't make a shot....

Kudos to SHELBY HARMEYER, the talented sophomore for SK who lit up the Lady Titans for 7 threes.

Enjoyed broadcasting this game. FRIDAY: Owen County vs. SK 8 pm The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN

Great game out of Shelby Harmeyer! She had a double double with 27 points (season high, not sure of career) and 10 rebounds!! if she keeps stroking those threes this team will be playing several games this month at BB&T Arena. Ally Niece had her normal game taking over when needed and dishing the ball to her teammates. Good luck Pioneers against the Lady Rebels! Gotta play them all and take no one for granted. Just ask Mason County.

Thanks for the online Broadcast Colonel.

Last year in softball Collins and Anderson both had to travel to SK to play the regional championship. I understand that we have hosts and gate/concessions money is involved but sometimes it makes a whole lot more sense to not make teams travel over an hour to play each other when they are 15-20 mins apart. With the way the 8th region is set up it creates a lot of long drives for teams in the post season. Making that trip 3 times in one week is not fun.

I thought Carrol County was an excellent compromise location last year. Within 45 min of every region 8 member.

Carroll County does seem like a more centralized location. It still seems far for me (coming from the south end of the region) but with the way the region is shaped it is hard to find a good compromise. Nobody wants to have to drive far and everyone wants a chance to host, but with a region that stretches so far south to north someone is going to be unhappy no matter what.
