Matt's family been hit hard this year. His grandfather passed away about 6 weeks ago anf now his brother. They need our prayers.

How is Coach Hilton and Coach Whitaker getting along these days? Are things any better?

I do not know who will, but the club as told the the powers to be who they did not want. We will be lucky to keep Terry Joe taking care of the C.F.I.T. more less the Pigskin. I would not be surprice to see the club turn both over to the school to run real soon.

One will be Thursday and one Friday but I do not know which one will be first. Both will be between second and third game.

Chandler Cook is managing everthing that takes place in the gym with Terry Joe Martin taking care of everything else. But it has always been the head coach's job to set the brackets and the Varsity Club to run the tournament. Coach Hicks, Coach Deaton and Coach Pietrowski have always done this and most of them have taking credit for it except when something goes wrong. So if Corbin gets beat in the first round again this year it is all on Coach Pietrowski.

It is my understanding that Coach P. picks the team that he wants to play.

C.F.I.T. is the Cumberland Falls Inv. Tourn. in Corbin. Played Dec. 27-Dec. 30.

Will he miss the C.F.I.T. also? He was the joke of last years C.F.I.T.

Doreman does have a good team and they have played in the C.F.I.T. several times. They have only won the tourney one time but been in the finals two or three times.

Good tourney that pays very good and word of mouth spreads down there and the Varsity Club likes having some out of state teams.

I was shocked that Corbin would pick Shelby Valley to open with. I would have thought they would pick one of the South Carolina teams.

In the invitational tournaments that are out there do all the refs come from within the region that the host school is located or some from other regions? I was wondering about the Ashland Inv., 5/3 King of The Bluegrass, Cumberland Falls Inv., Paintsville & Berea tournaments, Toyota Classic, Hoop It UP. Which way is best? I think a mixer of inside and outside the host school's region would be the best. But would like to know what other people think.

I was talking about the other schools. Corbin will have a crowd. I was told the Varsity Club lost money the last two years with the other three teams that played in the Pigskin.

Another problem instead of this being the opening game for Corbin, as it used to be, it has become the second game. If Corbin gets beat the first game it hurts the crowd for the Pigskin. The teams for the last two years had no crowd following.

That is one of the reasons. The other Coach Jewell wants to get on Friday schedual ASAP for the rest of the season. They will play the first week on a Saturday. Corbin will play Dunbar the first year and Knox Central in 2008.

What schools are looking for new coach? What jobs have open up yet???

I know Coach Farris & Coach Deaton are good freinds, but I do not think Coach Farris will go to Whitley.

Can Brandon work in Whitley County with his dad being there??

Who will be helping Deaton at Whitley County?

There is only one team, and one Ref., that can beat South this year in the 13th. That would be South and they have the Ref. scratched from calling their games.
