4 Sr , 2 Jrs , 3(So) start , with 2 SR , DH . And a( So) who has been pitching some lately. Team has 7 HRs , 6 different players, (Sr) catcher Brody Shoup (Morehead) has 2. Last years team had 2. So power is up this year. My OP the best Middle in the state, Catcher - Shoup , SS Gage Hughes (So, Verbal Cincinnati ) 2B- So , Kyle Gammon and Centerfield Sr - Jared Hunt ( Morehead or Marshall ) . Batting line up is tuff 1-9 , lots of speed. and #9 (So) Isaiah Green is batting around 500. #6 (Sr) Christian Wireman is around 400. So the bottom of the line up is solid. Pitching is lead by (Jr) Tristan Downing ,(Sr) Zack Hayden ,(Jr) Jackson Keeton , (Sr) Christian Wireman . Downing pitched the West Jess and Beechwood wins. Zack Hayden was really good at State last season, and is throwing harder this year. Any thing I missed Oldercoach just ask , I will try to answer.

Yes , Same starters as last year, just a year older. There are 2 more Sr who DH some, witch would be starters on all other 16th Region teams. And Greenup`s #1 Triston Downing (Jr) didn't pitch any post season games last year. And is pitching really good. HE pitched the Beechwood game.

Yes , Last year was starters 4 Jr, 2 So, and 3 Fr.

What`s up with Highlands, seem they have had more than a few "L"s Lately . What`s there W/L at this point in season? I guess its the mid way point.

So your saying Greenup hit soft rollers, Rowan , just fields like a t-ball team. And all 7 (E`S) came in the 4 inns he pitched. 7 runs in 1st inn , than 8-0 after 4. Must have been able to field 2,3,4, a little. only 1 run. I think he good, but the top pick talk is a little much. He prob will get drafted. I`m guessing rounds 15-20 ,, But its still drafted out of high school. some thing to be proud of. MY op is he needs to go, to college and work on his off speed stuff, he`s always been able to go fastball and get K`s, . Just don't work like that with good hitters, they will hit it. If he`s that good, he might want to switch summer teams. That might be a hold back, but if he keep`s this up . I`m sure , he will be found . if he hasn't yet... Is he right of Lefty .. and what his fast ball at ? Thee speed of his fastball has a lot to do with it. Colleges always fill they can teach you to pitch, but can only raise your FB 2-3 MPH is lucky.. So R/L, size, and Mph FB?

All 11 named are tuff outs. Wireman is around 400 at the 6 spot, Isiah Green is batting 500 in 9 spot. Team has 6 HR`s by 5 diff players. Shoup has 2.

2 teams I think will be near top of Region when all said and done. Pitching... Love East`s #1 - the Lefty . and SS can hit and field, 2nd best in Region. My OP

I see Ryle , moving up the Rankings. Winning a lot. Sure Rankings are great , But that doesn't win you games . You can still make Sweet 16 unranked. So keep doing , what you are and it will all work out.

Greenup has Plank`s number, that's 3 years in a row ,he has been hit hard. Last season was 8-1 win GC. This GC line up is tuff 1-9, plus 2dh batters, # 6 is over 400 , Christian wireman , #9 is over 500 Isiah Green, Than you still have Kyle Gammon ,Brody Shoup, Gage Hughes and Jared Hunt, Tristan Downing . Plus 3-4 others . Not an easy out 1-9. Another nice win for Greenup.. Really Tuff Weekend ahead , keep it up boys. Doing Great. Not saying Greenup cant lose or one pitcher cant dominate , But will be tuff, GC has there D-1 players also. Plus a team that can pick each other up.. Can make for a great season.

SSU, Pikeville, that level of school is where I see him. A lot of people talk smack about the smaller schools. But its hard enough to make that level , some just don't understand . And some are hatter`s . Very few make any level , and the ones who do , should be proud. Good Luck.

Gage Hughes (So) and Tristan Downing (Jr) went back-back (HR) . And Hughes just missed a 2nd , by inch`s as it hit the very top of fence . 2nd time this year GC has went back -back. Last season Greenup had only2 HR`s all year, so far this season they have 6. By 5 different players, Brody Shoup has 2. GC doesn't have a true power hitter, but there are 6 or 7 that can go deep. That power is a big help this season. Christian Wireman had a few hits also . Nice when your number 6 hitter is batting around 400..

MY OP on Lewis is change in coach. Prater had them better than ever. He is a very good coach.

5-10 is no joke, Yes the money drops off fast , after first few rounds. But my thinking is if your 5-10 out of High School , Go to school and if you do your thing, than you jump up to 1-4, witch is better money.. With so many Rounds and player`s , the money starts to drop fast.. That said , If I was drafted 5-10 it would be hard not to take it. Fully understand !

From What I have seen on here, Ryle should be. And I`m not sure Greenup County is 1, at this time. Greenup is playing really good, but (D) is still not there. 15-0 with 6 of them 10 run rule, and at lest 3 more should have been. Looks great, when the "D" gets going and it will , than #1 rank is fine. Just my OP.. Great Job Boys ,, Keep It Up ..

Crazy , that coach`s don't vote. Knowing it matters to the kids, and if a team gets a few players it makes the program look good. YOU know the coaches talk to each other , if not any thing else they would vote to help a friends team.. A list of the coaches that did vote , would be nice too see. The BGP teams and polls are always better, and close to being on point , way closer than any thing the coaches do..

Greenup stays hot ,with a win over District foe Lewis Co 11-0. Greenup is now 15-0 on season and 1-0 in District.

That had to be hard for the team and pitcher. A lose of a friend at any age is tuff, must be a good bunch of kids to still be able to play well. I think we play again , I`m sure it will be a good one. I hope all is as well ,as it can be. And if the kids need someone, hopefully they have someone to turn too. From what I understand JC has very good teams in all sports, so that mean`s good coaches . That goes a long way , in a time of need. Good luck to you guy`s also.
