I don't think he has done much until this year. My understanding is that this is only his second year on the mound. (Correction...only 2nd year on varsity team) So I don't know if there is much recruitment yet.

Definitely not his first year on the mound. Pitches for Midwest Prospects which is one of the top teams in Cincy. I played knothole with him. This may be his first year in the rotation but he's pitched before.

Nick Nelson is one of the Ace pitchers on the Midwest Prospects. The kid has nasty stuff!! He is an all round student athlete a college baseball coaches dream! Keep up the work Nick see you this summer.

Yeah...I corrected my statement about 2nd year on the mound after I read the article again. Evidently he didn't play on varsity his freshman year.

 

Sounds like you guys know more about the kid than I do so you likely know more about his recruitment. What have you heard? I watched him pitch yesterday and thought he did a nice job with location of his pitches for the most part. His catcher saved him 3 or 4 times on pitches in the dirt to save a couple of runs but he did fan 12 with several of them caught looking.

If he`s that good, he might want to switch summer teams. That might be a hold back, but if he keep`s this up . I`m sure , he will be found . if he hasn't yet... Is he right of Lefty .. and what his fast ball at ? Thee speed of his fastball has a lot to do with it. Colleges always fill they can teach you to pitch, but can only raise your FB 2-3 MPH is lucky.. So R/L, size, and Mph FB?
