The Campbell County loss is the only defeat against teams from Kentucky.

I think Ryle should be in the top 25..

E-town and Central Hardin square off tomorrow @ CH. E-town is finally starting to get healthy again (something they weren't all of last year despite making it to the Elite 8).

 

Hunter Sullivan (Sr.- Who was the 5th Region POY in 2014 as a Sophomore before having Tommy John surgery early last year) is starting in the field & at the plate, but has been held out of pitching for all except an inning or two (his best spot). Peyton Payne (Sr./OF, All 5th Region as a Junior) is healing up from offseason shoulder surgery & has been used as designated runner some.

3 Madison Central 10-1

 

I know it was only one game, but I saw Madison Central last week and was very impressed with how they hit. Up and down the lineup, everyone hit well.

Harry, doesn't E-town have a kid going to Coastal Carolina? Maybe their football quarterback?

 

Yes. Jack Wilson who bats clean-up & has been playing right field as well as their #1 or #2 pitcher at the moment, but he has had to do that in absence of Sullivan on the mound. Wilson is all of 6'2 220 right now. Wilson is a grandson of former KHSAA Football All-Time Wins Leader, Joe Jaggers. His uncle Crad Jaggers (new head football coach at Louisville Valley) was a former college football & baseball (pitcher) player (WKU/Campbellsville University) as well as being a two time 5th Region POY in 1995 & 1996 at North Hardin. He's never really pitched in the previous years, just some here and there in relief. Sullivan is their #1, but I wouldn't expect to see him out there much until the post season.

 

D1 schools were all over Sullivan up until his Tommy John surgery last year, and some are really starting to get back in the picture (Cincinnati in particular). I really hope and think he is going to get his shot for the big time, again. He's an amazing athlete. I don't know if he will pitch or not in college, but he throws such a heavy fast ball who is great at the plate and can fly.

 

Sullivan, Wilson, Payne all three were on E-town's 13-1 Class 3A Semi-Finalist team. Payne (E-town's leading WR this past year) signed with Cincinnati Christian University (NAIA) back in the winter to play football (their first season will be next year). Sullivan even played football after his surgery...tells you what kind of kid he is.Here it is a day an age of "specialization", and you have a young man like Sullivan--where baseball is probably his 'ticket'; has Tommy John Surgery & STILL decides to play football his senior year. He had been E-town's starting QB as a sophomore and junior, while Wilson started at TE/ILB and then Payne had been at WR all along. After Sullivan's surgery, Wilson was moved back to QB (while still starting at ILB, too. Throwback player!) this year. Wilson threw for 1,500+ yards and 24 TD's w/ only 4 INT's in E-town's Wing-T attack.

 

Most don't realize this about E-town, but despite being Back-to-Back 5th Region Champions last year and making it to the Elite 8 of the State Tournament.....they did all of that despite having Sullivan sidelined as well as current University of Louisville player (catcher and being redshirted), Zeke Pinkham on the sideline. BOTH young men had Tommy John surgeries early in the 2015 Season.

I was really looking forward to watching them play in E-town's tournament last year, but due to the weather being a little dicey (plus the drive), then I believe prom the next day...they decided not to come (which I totally understand).

From What I have seen on here, Ryle should be. And I`m not sure Greenup County is 1, at this time. Greenup is playing really good, but (D) is still not there. 15-0 with 6 of them 10 run rule, and at lest 3 more should have been. Looks great, when the "D" gets going and it will , than #1 rank is fine. Just my OP.. Great Job Boys ,, Keep It Up ..

I think you will see tonight just how good Central Hardin is. Central Hardin has been averaging 10 points a game. My guess on a final score is

Runs not points...biggest mistake in baseball. Just giving ya a hard time

10 runs a game, well tonight 2 runs was enough as Central Hardin won 2-1 to go 15-1

Solid game between Central Hardin and E-town, but what else is new? If memory serves me correct, the last 5 meetings between these two dating back to last year have flip flopped.

GRC is now 10-1 vs. Kentucky teams following two road wins this week.

The Cardinals travel to Harrison County on Friday (later today) and host South Laurel on Saturday morning. (The South Laurel game was originally scheduled to be on the road, but that was changed.)
