Friday the 27th

I pick Holmes, since they defeated the better opponent in convincing fashion to get to the title game. I also think that Holmes will pull this out from just pure losing at home to HC in the regular season. REVENGE!!! :popcorn:

Good job Holmes! Represent Northern Kentucky! Same to Highlands and Holy Cross!...Show Kentucky that we have some great teams up north.

Bad bad week for basketball.

Dixie Heights, however they will be sharing Senior night with Boone County on the road this evening. Thanks to Boone county and Dixie for trying to work something out.

I'm glad that Dixie and Boone were able to work this out! This game should be exciting!

Kids dont need practice to play a game. Everyone is a "gamer" after middle school. ha:laugh:

Holmes, because they should have never lost a single regular season game this season. I think their intimidation alone wins this game, but I dont think they blow CC out with some ridiculous 20 or 30+ margin.

They won't do anything to Mag County.

We will see who knows the KHSAA well.

The other opinions in this section. From all the other assumptions on what happened, the coach will be suspended 3 games, but that is the only discipline from Mag Co. The KHSAA can't punish the school if the parents made the decision to pull their kids if they felt this ref was over looking these obvious bad calls that endanger these kids. A ref can make a late foul call if they feel like they missed a hard foul. So the ref should miss some games too if they see that they missed an obvious hard found that hurt a player. So from all the other opinions without facts, the head coach and the ref are the only two that should get punished. Not the school or program.

The KHSAA won't do anything. They will see the walk off as justified and move on.

I know I don't know the whole story, but if a Ref is blowing a game by blowing calls, then the coach should just have his team foul everyone out and end the game, then leave with the forfeit. This way can avoid KHSAA letters and calls. As a fan, I can't say this is right, but If I was in that coaches shoes dealing with a Ref that is full of themself, then That would be the best way to just end it if he wants to end it. Ultimately, the assistant should have just taken over like usual. Unless there was no assistant coach maybe????

Tough loss for Dixie. I hope they put together a strong run heading into the Districts. That is terrible that some refs, (a small amount) feel the need to ruin games for these kids due to them just not knowing how to call a good close game. People can tell when a ref makes a bad call compared to 20 bad or missed calls. Good job to both teams for playing hard.

I'm just looking at overall quality wins between both teams. Sometimes the better team will lose to the underrated team. Which we call an upset. Now CC does play SK again on the road. If CC wins that game, then I will not doubt this team, but I dont see them as good as they are being made to be. I see them as a good team. But not a great team. I think that will come if they keep their consistency. If LSU would have beat KY, would that have made LSU a better team than UK? Or would that mean that LSU just played better than UK that night and most likely will not beat them again this season. So yes I still feel like SK is better. CC does have a chance to make this a magical season by pulling off some major wins as the season ends. Yes I am pulling for CC to win those games because I would like to see Holmes lose again, SK see what it is like to lose twice to the same team if that will happen, and the loss to BB get avenged. That is my peice. :thumb:

My point exactly. They are doing well. They have pulled some upsets and played good teams close. All i said was they surprised me by pulling a rabbit out of a hat and started playing better than I thought. But by saying this, it appears that some people think i am trying to bash this team. I dont think they are elite, but i think they are good. I have seen them play and they play well in the District that they are in. I am an outsider looking in so I dont have strong feelings for this school. The post was who is going to win, SK or CC and I predicted SK because I still feel they are better than CC.

You can scout all you want but you still have to have players capable of executing game plans and scouting information. I wish just scouting got wins. Scouting still helps you when it comes to losing by 30 or by 6.
