Heard the weightroom was unsupervised and there was "activity" between a player and female student. While you can't be everywhere, coach's responsibility to monitor or lock the weightroom. Interesting thing is Preston King was pretty much run off by the new Principal at Valley and he brought this coach with him. Now I'm hearing King resigned at Iroquois to try and go back to Valley. That seems like a weird situation.

I do think Cecil has matured by leaps and bounds this year.

I agree throwing deep was Etowns best shot. However, they were inside 40 (37 if I remember), so couldve tried for about 10-15 more yards used their last timeout and potentially tried a FG only down 1. With the inconsistency of the Etown kicking game endzone shot was best call.

I wish Central the best but they don't stand a chance. On top of the obvious talent gaps I think this Male team is hungry and angry after beating X and T 2 years ago then losing to Scott Co, and then losing to T last year. I don't see anyone that can stop them from rolling all the way through. Like Trinity going to Meade last year, just a different level of football.

I would think that is an extremely inappropriate and unprofessional thing for an official to do.

Etown had to throw to endzone since Caldwell clock operators were running as much time off each play as possible. 3 times in final minute referee made them put time back on. Talk about your home cookin.

Heck if anything ask Caldwell coach why #25 doesnt get ball more. Other than reverse flea flicker he was absent on offense. And at end of game it seemed weird he was at CB instead of Safety. At Safety he has a chance on any deep ball. At CB it seemed like the plan for Etown was to throw away from him.

Worst Etown played offensively all year. For some reason RBs kept wanting to cut up when room on edge for days and very uncharacteristic turnovers. Caldwell couldnt run ball against 3 man line and Etown got plenty of pressure on QB. Turnovers gave Caldwell great field position several times but Etown D held them out of endzone. Last play of game was very fortunate but dont act like Etown didnt play well enough the previous 47 min to deserve to win the game. Great effort by both teams.

Not fast enough to keep up with Paducah Tilghman and too weak of schedule to compete with Caldwell yet still here. Coach Brown and Coach Perry very familiar with each others schemes from time at John and Central Hardin. I think we are in for another great game.

I guess taking a group that was 1-10 as freshmen to playing for a regional title as seniors is not coaching in your eyes? Wilson is a good player but far from the only thing that makes that team go. One of the most ignorant things I've ever read on here.

I disagree. You find the right young coach and they understand the situation they are getting into and will want to build and know that winning will be secondary to more immediate goals. What you risk is losing kids because of a coach that they either can't relate to or know won't be around long. Seneca was not even remotely competitive this year, so who was that good for? Or you also risk losing that young coach you were supposedly grooming, which is what I have heard has happened at Seneca. The "young guy/coach in waiting" has already left.

They are kind of a hybrid of option and wing T schemes. Last time I saw them they were in a short pistol and the RBs got downhill in a hurry. Know John has a tough defense but tough to prepare for. I'm taking Shelby with the shocker 24 - 21.

Great stats but have to question competition when finished 4th in district. Mightve had something to do with it.

Nothing but rumblings thus far. But the direction program is heading, not just wins and losses, you would think something has to give.

Why not go through the interview process? Who knows who else would be interested and what they could bring to the program. Not involved with Holy Cross but seems like they took the path of least resistance.

Good luck to Holy Cross but I don't see how this is in the best interest of Holy Cross in the long run. Kinda like Seneca hiring Ted Leasor last year. There are surely some up and coming assistants that would have an interest in staying someplace and building, instead of hiring someone who's already been around the block and probably isn't interested in long term. Just my opinion.

But I agree with the sentiment. Seneca being in the playoffs this year should be considered an embarassment to the KHSAA. I feel bad for those kids but that 1st round playoff game was a waste of everyone's time.

Trinity won State Championship as 3 seed last year. If you want to eliminate a round then need another option to select teams for playoffs, because some districts are not balanced well. Better question, go back and look at round 2, how many 3 and 4 seeds were involved in round 2?

Exactly, regardless of your thoughts on Coach Glaser, kids in that program were going to have 4 years to perfect an offensive system and really focus on their individual skills and technique. Currently you're spending every year just learning the new plays and hoping for the best.

If I'm a kid in Jefferson County and I have a choice, I would want to play for Beatty, Scroggins, Wolfe or Lefors.
