Morgan County was a better team but McLean missed 8/9 free throws in the 3rd. I'm stopping counting after that but I'm guessing they shot below 50% as a team

Ill take Lexington Catholic, I think they have will handle the pressure of playing in Rupp alittle better. Boyle is extremely good and if Bell and Tyler have good games than I will be wrong. I don't think Catholic can stop either one of those guys, its just a matter of if they shoot the ball well. Elkins is a game changer but I don't see him being the difference in this game. 64-55 LexCath

Noah Young didn't play any JV this season. I only saw Southwestern JV twice so I can't speak on them much.

Well said... I wouldn't mind a round of 32... I know you all will kill me because everyone loves the S16 format... just a thought though. I know logistically it would be a nightmare.

I saw Lincoln's JV beat Southwesterns JV last season. Really good JV game to watch. Lincoln has some young guys that will flat out hustle. With the departure of Lincoln's 7 seniors, those JV kids get their shot next season. Southwestern loses two seniors but they have the depth from that good JV squad to replace them.

Southwestern will be solid next season. I think Danny Butt needs to step up and be more consistant, but he still young. Wayne County will be solid as well, they are losing a huge threat offensively, but in my mind I see Blevins being even better next year as he will get more shot attempts with no Woods to share the ball with. Stearns is my pick for Player of the Year in the 12th region. Mercer didn't impress me that much against Lincoln but I believe that is a testament to how good Lincoln was. But Mercer played outstanding against Southwestern. The lack of outside shooting will be there for them but Faulkner will only get better as the year progresses. I think Lincoln, Garrard, Danville, East, and Boyle will make it tough for teams. Each of them has returning players that can win games for a team.

I agree... I believe Casey County will be tough to beat.

Hate to hear about the facility, I hope the can recover nicely. I feel bad for the seniors that had to lose some quality practice time due to this tragic accident. I am sure Grundy had them doing something though.

My preseason top teams: 1. Southwestern- Coach Eaton will have some momentum after a successful run last season 2. Garrard- Coach Lynn has a pretty solid rotation and a few legitimate sticks 3. West Jessamine- Always seem to have a decent team, although I will admit I don't know as much about them as in the past. 4. Boyle County- With Robbins and Coffey they will be hard to beat A few sleepers may be Mercer, Danville, Somerset, and Lincoln... Just my opinion, what do you all think?

Lincoln County had also last by 23 or 25 to Boyle earlier. So Not many could have predicted 20 point blowouts by two equally matched teams.

I did say I expected this game to be much closer than the 18 point game in December, so don't sway away from that. I was stating that based on the previous matchup, I believe LexCath will be favored by more than MentschTrachtGottLacht was predicting. Futhermore, I have no doubt LexCath will not be thinking like me, they will be prepared, as will Boyle.

And BoCo will have to complete a similiar task to make a run at Rupp. It was a tough stretch of games, I was there, they impressed me with those first two games.

And...

LexCath beat Boyle by 18 ON Dec 29th. I think LexCath will be favored by more than you are expecting. I know the situation of the 4 games in 4 days, but that is how that Sweet 16 is set up as well. I think the game will be closer than 18, I hope the 12th region advances, but I saw this matchup in December and it was never close.

I think Knott Central has a shot at winning it all from the bottom bracket. Maybe facing CovCath in the finals.

It was nice to see Hagan Tyler go over and speak with the LC players after the game.
