This is the lull of the season. After the holiday tournaments and before the LIT and region push teams are bound to let up. They saunter in against teams they think they will smoke and those teams don't just agree. I'm learning predicting hs basketball games is like picking a winner in a 2yo maiden race at Gulfstream in January.

Believe it. I've seen it 3 years in a row now. His system spreads the floor and simply gets open looks for his team throughout the game. Watching their consistency of execution, you wouldn't know if they were up 15 or down 15 without a scoreboard. Even in the Manual blowout, they got plenty of looks. They just didn't knock them down and it got away from them. All the players are open floor players and somewhat similar in skill set this year...maybe they are missing the knockdown shooter. I can see why more individually successful players might get frustrated in that system...they play a true team system and don't seem to cater to anything based on their personnel. Some could consider that a negative....including me.... but fun to watch. Manual has more talent 1-7, and one particular special player, but they don't know who they are yet. 7th region is in a league of their own. Oh, if anyone has the clip of Suttons dunk in the 3rd qtr...please post it. Filthy, filthy stuff.

And Dwayne Sutton could have been slotted in the 1 spot! Not a single player in the tournament I would take over him. I don't think many people in attendance would disagree.

No question....as to tourney performance.

That's not what the ranking should be imo. It's not who you think has the best chance of winning it all. It is who has earned the right to be called #1 at this time. I think regardless of ranking, most would agree that any team in the top 10 could beat any other. 1. Ballard 2. Knott Co Central 3. Henderson Co 4. Trinity 5. Manual 6. Taylor Co. 7. Lex Catholic 8. Doss 9. Boyle Co 10. NCC

Manual up 16-8 w 114 left in 1st. Harness hot early with 8

And #11 was key. Big shout out to his court vision.

HC is solid. They didn't even play their best. But Manual played so below their ability. Congrats on a good win. Would love to see that one re-racked.

#11 was huge for HC. Agree they didn't play their best, but Manual really laid an egg. Hope they learned a lot.

Henderson played better as a unit. They kept finding the open man and hit enough shots to win. Manual had an off night and got beat by a good solid team.

Elkins....bc's most important player. Hagan really nice. Bell and Eli a bit overrated. All IMO of course

I guess Manual "should" win. It is hs bball after all.
