Personally, I'd lean towards thinking that Knott County Central has the best chance to remain undefeated, however they're playing this weekend in the "Beach Ball Classic" in Myrtle Beach where there's a field of teams from outside of Kentucky that I know nothing about.

 

Both Clay County and Owen County will be play in the Berea Invitational this weekend so logically at least one of them will be eliminated from this list.

 

Crittenden County has a Jan 13th date coming up with 9-1 Webster in the 2nd Region.

 

DuPont Manual is looking square into the face of a tough field this weekend at the Republic Bank Classic featuring Number 1 Trinity.

 

Eastern is scheduled to face DuPont Manual on Jan 23, and Ballard on Feb. 7.

 

Mason County could potentially come away champs of this weekend's Gateway Holiday Classic... they are looking at a date with Campbell County on Jan. 6, Boyd County on Jan. 13, Lexington Catholic on Jan. 17, and Holmes on Jan. 20.

 

I don't know enough about Williamsburg but they've been taking care of their opponents pretty handily. They're in the Cumberland Falls Inv. this weekend with the likes of Corbin who played Boyle tight, and also South Laurel is amongst the field.

 

Boyd County is entering the Ashland Inv. this weekend with a field that also included the likes of Dixie and Holy Cross. If they manage to get through this tourney unscathed, they do have an upcoming date with Mason County on Jan. 13.

 

I don't know enough about Sheldon Clark but they're entering the Mountain Schoolboy Classic this weekend, and if they manage to get through that undefeated, as well as future games, they're still looking at a date with Knott County Central on Feb. 17

Eastern has benefited from a really weak schedule to this point. They've only had one close game, an OT win against Henry Clay. Other than that, the schedule is Moore, Simon Kenton, Ashland Blazer, Shawnee, KCD. They beat Oldham County. Another team that's played a questionable schedule. Looking forward to watching teams start separating themselves from the pack.

I think that it's worth noting that Trinity, Ballard, Taylor County, and Lexington Catholic are all still undefeated against Kentucky teams.

Williamsburg has played a bunch of cupcakes to this point. And in all honesty there whole schedule is fairly easy.... Clay could very well lose this weekend in the Berea Invitational, they are without 2 starters due to injury. If they get through this weekend they shouldn't make it much longer as there January schedule is really tough.

Boyd County and Owen County both lost on Saturday, Dec. 27 eliminating them from this list.
