why was this close?

Much closer than I anticipated. Looking forward to hearing some details.

Apparently this was a 2-point game with less than a minute to play.

 

While KCD has been somewhat inconsistent this season (for example, it lost to Atherton last week), it has sufficient talent to do something like this. Anthony Mathis (sophomore point guard), Colin Ferguson (junior shooter) and Malyiek McCray (senior all around player, who transferred from Ballard to KCD) are all very solid basketball players.

This is the lull of the season. After the holiday tournaments and before the LIT and region push teams are bound to let up. They saunter in against teams they think they will smoke and those teams don't just agree. I'm learning predicting hs basketball games is like picking a winner in a 2yo maiden race at Gulfstream in January.
