I wouldn't go to a camp the kid wasn't invited too. Tape will get intrest and contact. find out who likes you. Go to their camp and compete. If no one is intrested in your tape. Your not a D1 schorlarship player.

Agree 100%. I know for a fact coaches will ask you to come to camp to get the offer. I have said this many times. Your not a recruit until you have an offer from that school.

In 2014 8 NAIA players signed with NfL teams 0 drafted. Very few. Sure some are missed just not that many. In 2014 24 FCS players were drafted and around 100 signed with teams.

If a kid can play at the SEC, Big Ten FBS level he will be found. If you can play FCS you may have to be found. Your HS team isn't going to change that. If you can play FBS you will start on any team in KY. Go to camps and send out film. If you have the size/speed Schools will find you.

Yes it does. some kids mature fast. Their big in the 8th grade and fast. What happens when everyone else grows up too!! Seen it in basketball more than football. The 6'1 8th grade center. Who as a senior is still 6'1 and now sitting the bench. That 5'11 canter who sat the bench in MS is now a 6'5 senior and starting.

In fact my son went to TF. They had a very good 8th grade team. I think they won the large school that year. At a pep rally the coach told the kids that didn't play for TF. They would have a hard time getting playing time with that class in HS. He was wrong. The two kids that got D1 schorlships didn't play for TF in that class.

Wow didn't know that. My son played in the NKYFL. At that time I felt he was getting better coaching. His coaches over the years with them. Included 3 to 4 coaches that played D1 football. Now this did hurt him going to HS. Coaches don't know him but that quickly changed. That's why I don't buy into the I know johnnys dad so he will play. Coaches want to win and will play their best players.

Make sure you cast your net far and wide. Send film to every school you can. Start to ask direct questions if you get feed back. Am I a player you would offer? Are you looking at RB's for 2016? How does my film compare to others? Be direct to narrow down your time and effort.

Dixie did pretty well with 0 passing game. Ran over much of NKY. I agree when you face guys just as strong/big you need to pass!!

I think EKU is moving in the FBS direction. They just need to get more people to the games. I would love to see them move up.

If your running game is real good. You don't need to pass much in HS football. If you win the battle up front the game is much easier.

BW had a very nice group of seniors. Does anyone think the kenton co schools upgrades and recent winning ways hurts BW? Maybe less families moving or sending kids to the school?
