  1. AJ If you are about to build a team of your choice with no prior bias, the first layer you draft is the QB that has the size, accuracy, vision arm strength and athletism to run a high powered offense. Not one receiver. No offense to Moore that’s the way it is. The QB that throws him the ball and the other receivers the ball, makes time or runs well is number one. IMO
  2. What percentage of Bohns ball were deep over the top versus short ball his all star receiver urned into long TD passes? Was he throwing mostly high percentage ball to the best receiver in the state?
  3. All true on cummuting and playing pressure teams back to back. And played close in his e losses. Also lost to the eventual champ of the tournament so obviously great team. The issue we are thinking is if (yes if) they get out of the region this is the exact format they will be in... need fixes.
  4. That downfield blocking by CCH was a big part of their success and a characteristic of championship football.
  5. I don’t know, but I bet MS really wanted to break that steak even if they lost. I’m sure it wasn’t fun for them but one more point really did not change much for them.
  6. In this specific case, I believe Eviston only went for the two because the streak of 11 before it. In other games this year he waited for another TD. Only in semi and state did he try to keep a streak alive plus all the other reasons to shorten the game.
  7. Well to be fair, HHS wasn’t good enough to reach the regionals the last two years so CCH couldn’t get the two a year Highlands has in the past.
  8. O-line back Tail back and one of two bigger backs Two of big receivers plus good others Two of four starting LB Two good D linemen return Secondary mostly new starters but solid Should still be a really good team. How many starters does MS lose?
  9. Just to clarify I don’t think the “team” thinks that. Some of us fans think it would be closer than you think.
  10. CCH offense scores enough and keeps ball long enough that “running clock “ ain’t happening. 2-3 TD margin 8 of 10 games.
  11. Said it before. Trinity probably by a couple scores because advantage in trench’s. CCH compete skill player wise. Any given Friday though... Scott County and X toss up
  12. Similar to SW game the first half was a game. Halftime adjustments on defense were big. Also wonder if MS bigs wore down. CCH never seemed gassed.
  13. Last time these teams played MS scored a KO return TD and CCH had several turnovers. Colonels need to keep it tight and grind hard.
  14. This stuff has already been debunked on other threads. Bowling Green won 5 of last 6 5A Titles as public school for example.
  15. They have these kids schedules down to a science. He’ll probably redshirt, get settled in college and graduate in 5 years with a MBA from Miami. Good deal.
  16. There are a lot of good HS QBs in these 12. That’s why they are still playing. But AJ has greatest potential to play Saturday’s hands down. Typically good HS QBs can win a ring. AJ is atypical for HS. Hopefully he can finish.
  17. Will the teams get their normal pregame at Kroger Field or is it abbreviated? If prior games go to OT?
  18. Would the teams go with their backup QB if QB hurt or a wildcat? Is there a team who’s biggest loss would be a defensive starter?
  19. “Carter Smith has 169 carries for 1352 yards on the season. Averages 97 yards/game and has scored 23 touchdowns this year.” I believe Carter was also a Governors Scholar this year. Great year for him.
