Not sure about all classes but 4A 1. Johnson Central 2. Hopkinsville 3. Collins 4. Wayne Co. 5. Franklin Simpson, John Hardin, Shelby Co. and Mercer...I think you can throw these teams in a hat during preseason. 6A Trinity X Male Scott Co. Simon Kenton, Lafayette.

Anyone got times and matchups for Oldham on Sat? Gonna be a long hot day!

What about the regional championship games? That also was on the even odd type of thing with the districts. Can't do that anymore. Semi finals is still the same.

How did Collins perform?

Shelby will return 1400 yard rusher Caleb Morehead. He will be joined by backup QB Collin O'Hare who earned a lot of experience last year along with returning RB Kyion Stone, William Davis and Jose Carris. All these players received significant playing time last year. O'Hare had a great spring throwing the football. Shelby must develop a "keep them honest" passing game so teams will not be stacking the box. 7-7 will be key to development prior to season. The lines must be rebuilt as a unit. The loss of kicker Josh Edwards creates a huge hole that must be filled. The D might have a different look with new D. Coordinator Alex Mathews. Shelby has make it to the state semi's and regional final while going 23-4. Shelby will scrimmage Oldham at home and then open with Fairdale in the king of the bluegrass bowl. I see no reason the can't be back as a district and regional contender this year. A sure bet to preseason top 10.

Sorry ground, reg 2 district 4. Yes those other 2 are in district but I don't think they will be contending this year for dist 4 championship. Not sure if Shelby will miss a beat and Collins still steppping up game

They both have a lot of key players returning. Both teams also lost some key players but hearing they have guys to step in.

Today Bruce Blanton was named new coach at SCHS. Anyone know the scope on him?

I will give what info I know about Collins. Don't have any updates after spring ball. Collins will return JR Lucas at QB. In 16, he threw for 3,130 yards and 41 TD's and ran for over 700 yards. Main returning skill player will be Nasean Roseberry. He ran for over 600 yards and had 51 receptions 733 yards and 10 tds. Too improve, Collins must replace main 2 receivers in Maggard and Hawk. On D, Collins will return key players in Nick Eades, Zach Stucker and Jacob Phillips. Consistent play on D will key to success for them. This group of Sr's that Collins will put on the field has had a lot of success and playing time. I think they will be in contention for a region championship and top 10 ranking. The schedule will feature several good opponents and they play in the strongest 4A district where every game is a playoff game.
