  1. I'm not sure on their grass field. I'm pretty sure their turf meets the requirements.
  2. For sure! I'm pretty confident that Walton, Dixie and Scott meet the requirement
  3. Not any around here in NKY besides St Henry. The two times I've seen it this year I was surprised how long they kept the grass. You'd have to do some traveling down 71 and 75 to find some good ones.
  4. Good point but in England they have soccer fields not football fields with crowns and poor drainage. Heck, their drainage is so good they water it before the game and at half time while it's raining.
  5. Still can't believe the games were played on Boone and Grant's fields... horrendous conditions
  6. Region 8 games tonight Carroll County/North Oldham at Shelby SK/Shelby at Shelby (Shelby lost in their finals, SK won their districts... Field restrictions 1, SK 0) Collins/Henry County at Collins South Oldham/Grant County at Collins
  7. So after the season is over what's the next best sport thread one should follow in which posters are never happy (e.g., we won but the refs sucked, we won by 5 but should have mercy ruled them, coach picked the wrong formation, field/gym conditions, etc)?... not sure I could deprive myself for 8 months of entertainment.
  8. Even if it's an assistant the first card goes to the head coach for not controlling his coach (or bench in other cases)
  9. YC is a Cooper parent/fan so don't go muddying the waters on public versus private school views.
  10. Ah, I didn't realize O'Brien was out too. Yeah that hurts big time and even less threatening up top.
  11. Think I'm going to take a half day... this is heating up.
  12. Have to ask (and not trying to stir anything up). Is the loss of Ross starting to show? Just curious what your thoughts are on that. That's not to discredit BC's play at all either.
  13. It was suppose to be. Little banter back and forth with OTB. Sounds like they played how I saw. Leave their middle really exposed and any good team can take advantage of it.
  14. I heard CCH played 11 behind the ball and just looked to counter...
  15. Might have been one of the threads I was referring to. Not Matthew's style... but like others say "it's what I saw"
  16. I was very shocked the game I saw last week so see how they played. I expected more ball movement/possession. All over the top and when Schneider/Treadway didn't have the ball played into their area they didn't work. As far as the comments around complaining at the ref... one player in particular seems to always have a bad allergy. EVERY call ended with a sneeze or at least it appear like that with the constant hands over the mouth and nose.
  17. I'd say St. Henry and Cov Cath... they probably have the most students come out for a game.
  18. I've seen this in too many threads. I don't know of a coach in this area that would purposely pack it in like they're playing Barecelona. Usually what people see as sitting back in playing defense/packing it in/pushing everyone back is what I'd like to call offensive presence by the other team. If a team pressures the other the entire game and possesses most of the game they're forced to play defense. They didn't do this against Scott, didn't do it against Cooper (right Yellow Card?)... which one could argue have more fire power up top. Can't see them doing this against St. Henry.
  19. Good coaches but I have to say... a lot of the coaches know the game very well in this area. A lot of those coaches would love to have the talent Cov and St Henry have come through their programs. Nathan from Boone, Jeremy from SK, and Kevin from Conner (just to name a few) could take those team and do some good things with them. Again, that's not to say Jeremy and Steve are not good coaches.
  20. Commenting on one aspect of a keeper's game doesn't imply that I don't like them. Don't let OTB know you're trying to keep a thread positive.
  21. He's a good choice too. That's what I like about Seay and Leanhart. With Williams and Grosser their numbers are good but when they do communicate, IMO, it's rather negative. Be a leader not a dictator.
