North Oldham 0 Highlands 0
Absolutely a good result for HHS. North Oldham is a legit Top 10 team.

Cov Cath/Dixie Predictions
Easily, but I can see Dixie packing it in.
-
Simon Kenton/Grant Co Predictions
Might be a battle of the keepers tonight. I've heard good things about both keepers.
-
Cooper/Boyd County Predictions
Sounds like Brossart was the better team and had trouble finishing that night against Boyd. Cooper 2-0
-
Simon Kenton/Grant Co Predictions
Grant hasn't had a test since Cooper and honestly surprised Cooper didn't put more in the next. SK 2-0
-
Holy Cross/Holmes Predictions
Agreed. 2-0
-
Boone Co/St Henry Predictions
No. This is their second game since their suspension. They're starting keeper is no longer on the team. Gotta go with St. Henry on this one. 1-0.
-
Cov Cath/Dixie Predictions
Cov 3-0. The why is self-explanatory.
-
Conner/Ryle Predictions
Ryle. 3-0. Faster, better, and use every bit of their field.
-
Campbell Co/Montgomery Co Predictions
I'm going with a tie. 1-1. Think it'll be a good game.
-
Newport Catholic/Highlands Predictions
I'm stretching here... Highlands 1-0. I think NCC is the better team, but it's a home game and you know Highlands is hungry for a win.

Thursday 9/11 NKY Matches....you must decide
HA! This site is rather addicting and I need my predictive post fix.

Thursday 9/11 NKY Matches....you must decide
OTB and yellow card... what, no prediction post for tonights' games?

Thursday 9/11 NKY Matches....you must decide
Would love to see this match. South was pretty good last year and don't think they lost too many players.

Thursday 9/11 NKY Matches....you must decide
I'd agree with this. Jeremy has taken over since, what, the last 3 years? You're really seeing his style of play take over versus Horton's. They still look to possess the ball, but the build up isn't as slow and they attack with force.

Simon Kenton 1 Walton Verona 0
Walton is good up through the middle spine. Scotty in the back keeping the defense together. Leffler is strong/fast in the middle. Decent speed up top. Those were their only 2 legit opportunities. SK had most of the possession and plenty of opportunities. Classic case of not being able to find the back of the net.

Simon Kenton 1 Walton Verona 0
0-0 at half. Walton hit the cross bar and had a 1 on 1 with SK's keeper that he shut down in the first half. Loan goal off a free kick.

Boone Co/Highlands Predictions
Even if Borkowski was there I'd give the edge to Highlands. Without... definite edge goes to Highlands.
- Newport Central Catholic/Covington Catholic
- Trinity 1 Covington Catholic 0

Maher rankings 9/8
In the beginning of the season everything is based on last year's numbers. As the season progresses and strength of schedule is put in you'll see the numbers get more accurate. Hence, after Cooper had a good week against SK, NCC, and Highlands (who were all higher) you saw the big jump.

Trinity 1 Covington Catholic 0
Wish you'd see more stories like this. You'd be surprised by all the little gestures teams make throughout the year. AD's reaching out to other schools AD acknowledging the class and respect that entire program gave their team after being handed a significant loss. Home teams (like in this post) sending the away team who had to travel a good distance with all the left over food from their concessions that they didn't sell. Highland's coaching staff making it a point to congratulate Snow on his game/play (posted in a previous thread).

Cumulative Yellow Cards
As a player I had a handful of dissent cards, but now as an adult I realize the stupidity of it. So it's important that coaches recognize when their players are getting mouthy with the ref or another player and interject themselves. And yes, they're not going to see everything. To put it blunt, knock it off and play... you're not going to overturn the call. Couldn't agree with you more. Soccer refs are very thinned skin and that varies by ref. If you've ever talked to a high school football coach ask them the things they say to the refs. In no way am I saying soccer coaches should act like that.

Cumulative Yellow Cards
No worries. I just didn't want you thinking I was implying coaches don't try to set the tone. And yes, that other thread has gotten a little heated if you will

Cumulative Yellow Cards
In no way was I implying anything about the Scott/Boone game or implying coaches don't try to set the tone. I personally know that Nathan does that as well as SK's coach. Nathan did that from the onset and same with Jeremy at SK. That's from personal interactions I've had with them. They're both of the mind set, you're a student first, athlete second. If anything happens in school they want to hear about it, regardless of how minor it might be. That's not to ignore any on field discipline they enforce either.
