I have Newport meeting NCC in the regional finals.

So if I'm catching what you're throwing, you mean to tell me, that, if both Gallatin and Newport play to their potential, Newport is only 14 points better? I'm not buying it.

While WV is a good team, I am still having trouble understanding how beating a 5-5 LCA team is being considered a "big" win. Now, in terms of winning a state title, CAL and DeSales may have something to say about that.

Who are some teams that could be considered a sleeper?

That makes 2 of us.

I still wouldnt put Walton in front of Newport, however, we should know the answer to this in 2 weeks.

A 35 point win would be ok I would assume.

Don't count Newport out.

Newport absolutely has a chance to make a deep run. I would not be surprised if they found themselves playing in the Semi's. But as previously stated, discipline and mistake free football is their best shot.

I would say he is. But it's all a matter of opinion. Smith can play but I like Price a little better.

I've watched Price on a few occasions this year with the latest being Lloyd. He is far more superior than alot of kids in that district in terms of athleticism. Lloyd has nobody to match his athleticism. NCC has Smith but he is not as athletic either. He has also been most athletic in most game that I've seen (Williamsburg, Walton Verona to name a few). Does anybody know if he is getting any kind of looks for football?

I may throw Newport over Walton but thats just my opinion. Basing it off of head to head and schedule.

The late hit out of bounds which was nothing more than a tackle, which took place in bounds and continued out of bounds.

Sadly, I don't think he is up for POTW anywhere.

They have 1 common opponent in Newport. Newport had the game against Mason won until a terrible call late gave Mason the ball on the 3 allowing them to score with 17 ticks remaining. Newport came out flat against Scott and got flat out dominated. With that being said, I have to give the edge to Scott.

Beechwood in a romp IMO. They are firing on all cylinders and I'm still not sure how good NewCath really is.

They played Thursday.
