You can definitely make an argument for Newport, they were impressive from what I saw. I thought Lloyd would give them a closer game. Walton will get a big test this week against Lexington Christian. Looking more and more like the Bearcats and Wildcats will have a chance to settle the score in the playoffs.

Ocath is tough and can score points in a hurry. Defense is getting tough, and the offense has a great athletic QB with some speedy Skill players. Their path looks to be Murray in 2nd round, Caldwell, then Desales or CAL to get to the state game. To get past them you best be ready to play a full 48 minutes.

I believe Caldwell could score like that and beat OCath. Should be a great matchup, if it happens.

That is a good argument. There are other schools that perhaps should be ranked #10 instead of both of them - Shelby Valley or Leslie County perhaps? Leslie County just beat Prestonsburg which is a better win than either Walton or Newport has. Shelby Valley has a win over Leslie County.

This will be a exciting year of playoffs for 2A. Leslie County beating Prestonsburg was big for them. I think anything past the first 4 or 5 is a toss up.

True tcjkbt. I looked up some stats on Owensboro Catholic and the QB has over 3000 yds passing and 51 TD's this year, a couple of games with 8 TD's each.
