Great night for the Bearcats! LCA jumped out to a 14-0 lead at the end of the first and then WV took over.

I guess all the "Walton doesn't play anybody," folks can simmer down for a week. The Bearcats are legit, good luck in the playoffs!

I am impressed with the W that is for sure. For the first time in how many years, 2A will have some good second and third round games.

LCA is 5-5, idk if I'd really consider them a "good" team.

Newport central catholic is 4-5. Are they good? How about just say nice win.

Nice win for the Bearcats over a quality team. Bearcats were suffering from bus lag to start the game but then ran off 27 unanswered points after getting down 14-0.

Congrats to WV. LCA isnt any slap. They have plenty of talent that is very young. WV got a very quality win tonight.

Looks like round two of this region's playoffs will likely be, Lloyd at NewCath, and Newport at Walton. Two decent to good games. Very intrigued by a Newport/Walton game. Would this be a rematch?

Yeah, Newport won at home 36-26 back on Aug. 29th. I think that was WV's only loss. They'll have home field this time. I'd have to look at comparitive scores and SOS before picking this one. Then I'll probably toss a coin.

Comparing the completed season schedules of two teams so competitively close makes your head spin and is always deceiving.

 

I would definitely go with the coin toss...or in my case, the emotional favorite! Go Bearcats!

 

 

 

On this game verses Lexington Christian, I would agree that it's a nice win. Quality opponent, on the road, no meaning as far as playoffs, down early...and the Bearcats respond tough and finish strong.
