Very nice win for the Bearcats.

Bearcats go down early 14-0. Then the defense comes alive.....

Cats come back to tie it up in the second quarter.

Defense was huge at the end of second qtr with LCA marching down the field. Bearcats get a goal line stop on 4 straight plays.....HUGE HUGE stop there.

Good luck next week against HC.

The Walton V/Newport game will be a lot of fun. Should be a packed house for that one.

I did jump ahead. In first round I do think Holy Cross will score some on Walton V but I'm not sure how HC can stop Walton V from putting up at least 40.

I dont like to look at schedules. I think match-ups are more important. Some teams do a great job defending certain offenses and some Defenses have issues with other types of offenses.

Holy Cross is up next and WV has focus and not look past that game. This game was played in less than ideal conditions which probably favored LCA. Bearcats did a nice job of adjusting to game conditions.

If I've learned anything about the Walton players and staff over the years, there is one focus this week. Beat Holy Cross!

Compton finishes the night with 178 yards and Latimore with 129 yards rushing. Whitman held to 98 yards of rushing.

Impressive win for the Bearcats who settled down after falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter. Compton, Lattimore and Page took over on offense with the line doing a great job. The defense obviously came alive with sophomore LB Hunter Ruber and the secondary shutting things down. Senior DL Dave Carr held the line while putting pressure on LCA's quarterback. Good luck in the playoffs.

Cody Catlett was huge for the Bearcats last tonight. He was all over the place.

WV needs that kind of game from him throughout the playoffs.

Catlet was huge part against LCA and has been all season long. He definitely anchors the defense.

Whoever is the person responsible for building the Walton program should be given huge kudos. The growth over the last few years has been impressive. What are the chances of Walton becoming a real player (competing for regional/state titles annually)? I know there are so many schools in the NKY area but they seem a little further south than most. Is this area experiencing the same rapid growth as other places?

Bunch of people involved in the start up and success of the program from the top down. Yes the Walton and Verona areas are growing, changing from rural to suburbs.
