They have 1 common opponent in Newport. Newport had the game against Mason won until a terrible call late gave Mason the ball on the 3 allowing them to score with 17 ticks remaining. Newport came out flat against Scott and got flat out dominated. With that being said, I have to give the edge to Scott.

Hmmmm, no jawing during the Newport/HC game. Yet lots of jawing last night durring NCC/HC. Makes you wonder who really does the trash talking. It was definitely all Newport when them and NCC played, however. :no:

Walton is ahead based off of having more wins IMO.

This FSU can't be compared to last years team. When you look at the weapons they lost on offense (Benjamin, Freeman, Shaw, Wilder Jr, Stork) and what they lost on defense (Joyner, Telvin Smith, Jernigan, Terrence Brooks, Christian Jones and Jacobbi McDaniel) its tough to replace that kind of experience. Granted they returned enough to continue to win and be undefeated up to this point, but I dont think anyone expected them to be as dominant as last years team. I for one didn't just because of the youth at alot of the positions. Now, are they a top 5 team? Absolutley. Until they are knocked off they deserve it. Reigning National Champs plus reigning Heisman winner makes them top 5 by default.

Mauldin going down didnt look good the way he was hanging his shoulder. I like watching him play because he flat gets after it!

I know its a tad bit early, considering the game is on the 30th, but figured I'd go ahead and get this out there. With both teams on BYE this week, what direction do you think this game will go? UL's defense has been pretty solid, will the bye week provide them with enough time to be ready for the FSU offense?
