No, they lost to Nicholas last week in a game that they probably just couldn't get into rhythm or anything in. Long drive there, multiple lightening delays, couldn't get anything going.

Would be my policy as a HC. They're free to express their right to sit, I'm free to express my right to not play you. As far as praying goes, there's no law that says you cannot pray in a school setting. You just can't mandate prayer.

Was #50 suspended a game resulting from his ejection that was misidentified? Kind of unfair that he had a game taken away from him if so.

wasn't mentioned but credit needs to be given: Taylor Hickle was 11-15 212 yards 2 TDs, and 12 for 130 with a touchdown on the ground. Had a great game, and I believe he could have this consistently if we could get some athletes out that could play WR. He also fumbled at the 1 yard line which was taken back for 6, and the team just has to clean up those mistakes. You can't fumble 6 times (lose three), have 9 penalties for 105 yards and beat a team with explosive skill players like Fairview.

In a game we fumbled I think twice at the goal line in? At least once for sure, and it was taken back 99 yards for a score.

A team we tied in the grid with our backup QB in, and our first string HB was sent to the hospital dehydrated.

East has a tough as crap schedule for a team trying to rebuild. Johnson Central, Ashland, Raceland, Greenup, Fleming, Fairview, West Carter, and Boyd looks good this year too. That's a tough schedule for a team trying to rebuild. East Carter is barely 4A, if they were in 3A district 5 I have no doubt they would get the 4th playoff spot out of that district and have a much more favorable schedule. East looks miles ahead from the year before and the year before that. Problem is they have a rough schedule. But the progress is there, it just hasn't translated in the W-L column.

Okay yeah Bath is not better than East Carter. Also, Bath isn't jumping Fleming, West, or Russell anytime soon.

It's hard to get the wins when there's a hall full of athletes walking the halls not on the team. These kids haven't ever witnessed a good East Carter team, there's been I think 14 HC (including Garry McPeek and Joey Cecil, both successful HS coaches, and Zach Moore a D1 defensive coordinator) for East Carter football. Have to develop some consistency, when you've been through 6 HC's since your main rival hired their's then there's an issue. East Carter does not have a coaching issue, it's a community issue and a patience issue. I believe in Coach Champlin, hope they give him time. 14 coaches, 43 years, average of about 3 years per tenure. It is going to take more than 3 years to fix this program.

My pick for class 1A.

Turnovers and penalties. East has athletes in the halls they just have to get them out to play. I believe in what Coach Champlin is doing however, I'm hoping this town doesn't ruin it by trying to run him off.

Nothing has bounced East's way at all... Fumble at the 1 yard line returned 99 yards.. 26-6 Fairview. East has gained positive yardage, good yardage. Fumbles. Ugh Good return though, still got some time on the clock.

East will win this one, I'm biased but Josh Ford will have a big game. Fairview is fast but East is better up front especially if Fairview is as banged up as I've read

I'd be willing to be West hasn't dropped off as much as you think/as much as Nicholas has improved. West is still flat out fast.
