I don't know what hits you are talking about bandit but that kid did not leave cordia recently he did not come back from the summer break. It would have been a stretch for him to be elidigible academically. Had summer school to do and just couldn't get it done. He is a big time talent but has some issues. As for their players they had 17 out for open gym. They have a kid transfer in from Campbell co and a really good freshman from perry. They also have a really good freshman guard from Harlem NYC and 2 big kids I mean really big kids from queens one is a junior 6'7" 280 with good hands and feet. Will help big time the kid is a monster. Cordia has 3 kids in their starting 5 with D 1 offers. If that is taking hits I will take all you can get. Cordia is in the best shape they have ever been in. This team should be the best team they have ever had since Rhodes has been there.

There has been talk of that matter of fact I talked to the knott co A.D. A couple of weeks back and he was wanting to try to arrange a throw back game with 4 teams KCC and Cordia wearing old uniforms and play a game in the old hindman gym and he did mention Carr creek but the gym is in no condition to play there and I don't think Carr creek is a regulation floor. Would be cool if it would happen.

Patfan2015 Austin combs will struggle to be the best player on kcc team let alone the 14th region. He will be lucky to be in the top 10 in the 14th. Anthony Nelson is the best player in the 14th and it's not even close. He is arguably a top 5 player in the state. He already has multiple D1 offers as a junior, big time talet.

Anthony Nelson from Cordia is easily a top 5 player in the state his true position is point guard. He is a legit 6'4" that measure was taken at east Tennessee state team camp. He already has a offer from ETSU,lipscomb UNC ashville, and several other mid major schools. Day before yesterday Illinois head coach John Groce called him at home and said he wanted to start the recruiting process. He is legit.

If people only knew. That team had some kids that were un coachable they were lucky to win as much as they did. Between some of the kids and the parents it was a coaches nightmare. On the other hand this group is a great bunch to be around with incredible work ethic. They will be extremely talented and athletic.

No there are no restrictions on their games just district and region play. They play a full slate and will play in the all A this year as well. I know so far they are in the legacy Nissan at north laurel, and the Joe B Hall classic. They are loading up on the schedule. They plan on getting the most out of this season. No cupcakes!

That rumor is about a year old red bird did talk with him last year this time but he is going to have a good team coming back probably the best team in the 14th. They can't compete in tourney play but they still will be the best team. They do have the all A they are looking at as their post season. They are putting together a tough schedule no cup cakes this year.

Knott is crying about how they got cheated. I guess they know now how it feels the way they have treated everybody else. 2 years ago against Breathitt Co they called a foul on Breathitt Co 80 feet from the basket sending Knott Co to the line to win the game. They are also complaining about Calloway shooting 42 FT and Knott shooting 17. Last year against Cordia, Knott Co shot 40 FT and Cordia shot 12. I guess they have a short memory when it comes to them putting the screws to somebody. They are also crying about the police surrounding the Knott Co fans treating them like criminals. The last 2 years they have called the state police and had them surround the Cordia fans and escort their players out of the gym at Cordia and there was never any trouble from the Cordia end. It is hard for me to feel real bad about it when I think they got exactly what was coming to them . The chicken have finally come home to roost.

Oumar keita from cordia he is a freshman averaging 11 points and 11 rebounds a game. He has tremendous work ethic and plays really hard.

Yes he was fine just lost his footing. He got back up.

The game was a really good close game throughout. If ballard shoots the three the way they did tonight they will be hard to beat. Cordia's Richard chapman got hit with 3 fouls in the first quarter and never could get on track was a non factor. Ballard was up 5 points with 5 minutes to go and then cordia just came un raveled a missed dunk and a three athe the other end on a 5 point swing. Then the lead is 8. Cordia starts fouling and Ballard never missed a free throw and that's the ball game. This was a fun game to watch dunks at both ends,blocked shots above the rim good game . The Ballard fans, players,and coaches were all class acts. Best of luck to them going forward. FYI there was a former all uk all American in the house today he comes to quiet a few cordia games Johnny cox. He was sitting behind the Ballard bench he was the elderly gentleman that fell down the bleachers.

Actually with the seats they added in the end zone a couple of years ago the seating capacity is 650 they have had a few more than that in there. The fans are right on top of you it is a cozy place to play. The gym was built in the mid 60's it is definitely a trip back in time. This is the same gym that cordia played the old Carr creek and hindman teams in years ago.

They dress 9 players.

Nikeman49 you obviously have a personal issue with cordia. I am safe in saying you have not seen them play one single game this year you don't know what kind of team they have. They have enormous size and Richard chapman has lost about 30lbs from last year and is much more athletic than last year. He is a legit 6'6" and is extremely quick. He is a mid major player at the next level. But I have seen you post repeadily cutting on cordia. You must have been beaten somewhere down the road somewhere by cordia as a player or coach and can't get over it or you are jealous that Rod Rhodes was a bigger name than you in high school or college. Just for the record I think Ballard wants to see size and athleticism to get ready for the sweet 16. Cordia starting 5 is 6'6" 6'6" 6'11" 6'2" 5'10" that size can give any team a problem. Cordia may not win but I tip my hat to Ballard for coming down here to play them. I wish them nothing but the best.

I say that is a big hell no on that also. Cordia called Buckhorn and talked to John Nobel about playing a jv game he said he would, but the superintendent had told him that no Perry County schools were allowed to play them. Perry Co should hang their head in shame. Three of the people that was at the heart of Cordia's investigation are now sitting on the bench for Perry Co.

That will never happen I promise you that.

Actually Ballard contacted them they wanted a hostile environment agains a good big athletic team than will help them get ready for the state tourney.

Well Ballard will be coming to lotts creek it could be culture shock.

Don't know they have Lawrence co x2 clay co, Whitley co, Ballard, and are in talks with Scott co and Paris. There are a few more but those are pretty much the more interested teams.

Cordia's size will give just about any team problems. They are huge. That west jessamine team is good they shoot the ball really good. Cordia could be an offensive juggernaut if they did not have such a thin bench. They only have 8 players and they play a little conservative but when they do get out in transition their athleticism really shows. It is not listed on the khsaa but it is in the works Ballard will be coming to the creek on jan 24.

The all a committee says cordia did not turn in its paperwork or pay their membership. That is the reason they are not in. The principal says he sent it in but they claim they don't have it lol. They could not keep them out any other way and they knew it. Each team pays dues every year this is NOT an invitational tournament. Like they originally tried to claim. Either way either the principal did not send in the paperwork or the all a confidently lost it.

They did have a kid committed to Ohio state to play football for what its worth. Keta had a nasty put back jam over 3 guys. Btw joker cordia is going to play clay co either feb 2nd or 3rd.

This was a really good team from Cleveland. Solid win cordia has a nice team.
