The roads were fine and were on the way home ! Probably the worst part of the drive was getting the bus down that winding road from Hazard to the gym. The atmosphere at the gym was great and the people were great ! I would have provided updates but didn't have any type of signal on my iPad or phone .

When you are in the eastern Ky mountains there's a lot of "dead zones" with cell phones.

How long did it take your team and fans to get to Cordia? My guess would be 3 1/2 hours.

It took about 4 hours ,but we did take a half hour break in London to eat.

Congrats on the win. I thought the game was closer Than the final score. Ballard has a really nice team.

I thought you might go through Lexington on 64 and then take the Mountain Parkway in Winchester. From there to Campton in Wolfe where you turn south on route 15 through Jackson and down to Hazard. I believe that route would have been quicker to Cordia from Louisville.

Ballard's coach and officials are to be commended for playing games like this. I know it meant a lot to Cordia and their small community for the number one team in the state, and one with a great legacy, to travel that far to play this game.

The game was a really good close game throughout. If ballard shoots the three the way they did tonight they will be hard to beat. Cordia's Richard chapman got hit with 3 fouls in the first quarter and never could get on track was a non factor. Ballard was up 5 points with 5 minutes to go and then cordia just came un raveled a missed dunk and a three athe the other end on a 5 point swing. Then the lead is 8. Cordia starts fouling and Ballard never missed a free throw and that's the ball game. This was a fun game to watch dunks at both ends,blocked shots above the rim good game . The Ballard fans, players,and coaches were all class acts. Best of luck to them going forward. FYI there was a former all uk all American in the house today he comes to quiet a few cordia games Johnny cox. He was sitting behind the Ballard bench he was the elderly gentleman that fell down the bleachers.

I'm beginning to think that Ballard always "shoots the 3 the way they did tonight." That is a consistent part of their game and it really makes them tough.
