All In Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Any word on transfers, coaching changes, etc.? Is KCC re-loading? How will June Buchanan be? Any surprise teams teams to watch out for? How will Hazard be? Thanks.
Coach4 Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 No coaching changes as of right now. A few weeks back there was a rumor that Coach BB King was going to retire, but nothing ever came of it. - JBS will be ok, they still have the 2 bigs. - Hazard will be good, they return everyone but 1 player and rumor as it that Blake Asher from Leslie has enrolled at Hazard, he will make Hazard a lot better. - Knott County will be led by Austin Combs and Isaac Caudill, they will go thru some growing pains early but be pretty good overall. - Perry Central will be the favorite going into the season but the 14th region will be a 5 team race IMO. Perry Central Hazard Buckhorn Letcher Central Knott County
Outsidelookingin Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Transfers or re-loading??, you know no one in the 14th would recruit after the example the KHSAA made out of Cordia.

Wireman Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 From what I've seen, PCC and Cordia will be the top teams in the region. Of course, Cordia can't compete for anything except the the All A, which I expect them to win. PCC will be favored to win the region.

Who was the really good 8th grader/freshman at KCC last year?, can't remember name, only that he was a good one

Who was the really good 8th grader/freshman at KCC last year?, can't remember name, only that he was a good one The only coaching change as of right now is Chris Puckett has took over at Jenkins. Isaac Caudill was Freshman, he was the 6th man on varsity. He's going to be good. Knott County also had two 8th graders that were pretty solid on JV, (Twins) Gannon and Branson Couch. IMO, Knott will start slow but will be much better in Feb and Mar
Outsidelookingin Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Jones was the big freshman, the twins have a long way to go to play effective basketball on the varsity level.

Does Cordia have a restriction on the number of games allowed again this year?
Lion pride 89 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 No there are no restrictions on their games just district and region play. They play a full slate and will play in the all A this year as well. I know so far they are in the legacy Nissan at north laurel, and the Joe B Hall classic. They are loading up on the schedule. They plan on getting the most out of this season. No cupcakes!
