It's tough because these kids are not interviewed that often so it's sometimes very unpredictable. Not something you say publicly as a player, but something that is acceptable amongst his teammates in the locker room after the game. This is a teaching moment for the staff and his family, I'm sure they are all over this one.....

JJ Ogbogu is #3 and I said it in the preseason he should make the All State Team this year. The ability to cut without slowing down make him a tough cover for any secondary. The return of Jones will only make it easier for the wideouts if Ryle loads up the box to stop Jaylen. This game will be a chess match, I am kind of interested in seeing the LexCath kids approach. A senior heavy team with high expectations at home against a quality opponent. Friday night hurry up and get here!!!!!

I may get killed for this statement but please hear me out. I think in high school football you are better off having a great skill players with an average line, over a great line and average skill players. I am not sure in high school that the OL that they have in place translates into wins.

If they are healthy they have a chance to make some noise before district play. With CovCath, Ryle, Cooper, Johnson Central and Southwestern we will be battle tested regardless of our record and seeding in the 3A tournament. Not sure if the BCS formula ways heavy for schedule strength but we have to be up there in 3A

No more training wheels for LexCath

I hope for 3A sake that Boyle County represents the class and district well. I will be there.... Comes down to the run defense of the Rebels. If they are owning CH in that department they will win. If CH controls the clock and dominates the ground game they win. Prediction : 21-17 type of a score, it's a coin toss game fellas. Good luck and health to both sides.

Listen up..... The Ryle game will not be easy for LexCath for a number of reasons. Ryle looked good against our pass coverage in 7 on 7 and they have a strong running back that we have to try to tackle for 4 quarters. Their defense doesn't get a lot of credit but I do love their tenacity on that side of the ball. It will not be easy and we have to bring our A game. My biggest concern is this. You have a team in Ryle who played a competitive game down to the wire with a good CovCath to prepare them for this upcoming Friday. We had a one sided game against a rebuilding Boone County game that makes you look good on the highlight reel but it doesn't translate to making you ready for a step up in opposition. I hope the young men at LexCath take practice and Ryle very serious because it won't be a quick 44 points at halftime and everyone is on the sidelines laughing. It will be a game where adjustments and a few breaks will determine the winner.

He performed just as we expected. He was like 14-16 for 165 yards and 2 TD. Then we sat him the second half.

As much credit as the OL gets, the 37 points dropped on the defensive unit is the bigger issue

Building blocks. The important thing is to keep on fighting if you're Boone County. Have the high school coaches put a stamp on the middle school and youth leagues, stay committed the offseason and weight room, and day by day grow as a program and it will only get better. My old coach would preach "You can't dream about State without enduring the nightmare named struggle"

I think no one will give LexCath any credit unless they win all of those games. You have to now face Ryle, Johnson C, CovCath, and Cooper who is currently beating FTH. We should be battle tested, oh and by the way the district isn't a cake walk.
