You can tell the difference between reading scores and watching the games. When you have guys that can take it to the house on a simple screen or hand off sometimes they make the defense look bad. Looking at a game that is 42-38 it is easy to say wow they don't play defense but their is so much team speed and talent that you can't just shut them out. I think Highlands is the rightful favorite in 4A, but Station scored 40 points. Does that mean FTH stinks? No it just means Station has some play makers. So watch the games and stop looking at the final score to determine your assessment

Meade County deserves a lot of credit because they put 6A on notice last season. No fluke last year and no fluke by beating Henry Clay. Now they get to take on a really good Scott County team. Best of luck to both teams. This could be one of the best round 2 matchups in the state.

He's lame man. All the way in Hardin and he's worrying about the results of Lexington schools. Of all the schools up here we have schools in 3 different classes, and all of them don't even play each other.

Everyone had injuries and still will have guys hurt. Did you count how many plays Boyle had 20 yards plus? It's funny how much you hear about LC defense and they aren't that good, but Boyle couldn't break anything. That's the difference in the game. No game breakers in black and gold. That 2nd TD by JJ showed the disadvantage thar they are in. 4 different players from Catholic scored TD of 20 ya plus

Nothing has changed. You just played weak teams after LC beat Boyle. His hand will be forced. If they couldn't stop them before with the better athletes playing what makes you think a replacement will stop them? He played them both ways for a reason.

You can't have that many players going both ways and expect to win against quality teams. Run out of gas every time

The talk of Boyle county improving may be true, but that can be said about most teams entering postseason play. Boyle County only gives up 10 points a game but LexCath surpassed that in the first 8 minutes of the game. I just don't see them coming to LC and winning even with Smith coaching. The team speed as a whole, and lack of overall depth is why LC would win if they play again

The problem I have is if you feel that Hardin is better off without Perry create a thread to get the new coach and players that recognition. You chose to say the teams they played were giving up a million points because your mad about the coach leaving. That article was about what 3 players have achieved. If you think they could beat them schedule them. You put in your rant that Central Hardin will lose to Scott County. The same Scott County that lost to Bryan Station from Lexington? That same Scott County team that needed lightning to escape against Lafayette from Lexington? So just stop man. Jealousy is a sickness. Congrats to Buford, Jones, & Whitman because their names have already been established this season all over the state. In an Era where throwing the ball is the new craze I applaud them for getting it done on the ground

It's his bitterness coming out because of Coach Perry. An intelligent person would look and realize that LC only played against 2 schools in their city. So a school like LC playing 6A schools is stepping up. He sounds like the bitter ex wife still holding on. Let it go man let it go. Those 3 RBS have nothing to do with Hardin

Great players all 3. If I read this correctly it had Jones having his best games against Bowling Green & Boyle County but I guess they don't play defense? I had no idea that Whitman had an injury that he battled back from. I love these type of stories, because we forget that these kids are 15 years old rehabbing to get back on the field......

That's what the threads say. So I don't want then to play at nice place in week 1 of the playoffs and then make Boyle in week 2 and potential LC week 3 play on a mess of a field. It takes away from the quality of a game by playing on that mess

Quick question: If Knox had their field messed up playing Corbin and they are using Union's field for Round 1, will that continue to be the host site for rounds 2 & 3 if they advance? Thanks

Confident in team as a whole now. The offense has played very well all year. Penalties in the first month of the season hurt big time but the offense deserves their credit. Line play & skill players are doing their part. Now the defense has everyone back and that has to make you smile no matter what program you root for. To have all of your guys in November is a plus. So yes we are healthy heading into the postseason. I'll take a 7-3 healthy team in any day when you are in a win or go home game. Now the contenders are still going to bring their A games against us. I expect an exciting run for everyone. Hurry up Friday & get here.

The comment by guru let me know how much he knows about LC football. To say the weakest but they beat Boyle and to rank that same team above LC is puzzling to all. We were not a healthy team during the stretch of games that we lost. Ryan had a concussion. In the first quarter against Station and we lost all our linebackers and a CB in the that 3 game stretch. We weren't full strength on D until the Marion game. So just wait until you see the team that takes the field starting this Friday.

Like I said in a few weeks I'll ask you that.

But they beat Boyle? It won't matter in a few weeks because I will be on here asking you about this statement.

For the next 3 weeks let's get Boyle and LC together for a 3 game series. First team to 2 wins advances........

So do you think Central Hardin & losing to Owensboro means they deserve #4. I look at the wins and schedule and their resume isn't better than LC. Bryan Station would beat every team not named Highlands in 4A. BG would be favored over everyone in 4A. I think LC has a better win in beating Boyle than them. I also think Lafayette on the schedule helps LC argument in schedule strength
