Bardstown. They are in our district. They will be good this year.

I'm interested in seeing Bardstown. That's one game that concerns me.

Yeah, our guys are looking forward to Friday night. Its for the Hibernian Cup. I do believe we'll play it pretty vanilla. During our basketball game with the Cougars, when they announced our State Championship team, all their fans, and basketball team gave a great ovation to us, so I hope we remember that. I know it's the first game and our boys are hyped, but we get nothing out of trying to beat a team into the ground. I expect we'll have a lot of our younger guys in.

Don't be so naive. It is not a boundaries issue per say. It is an issue that public schools do not actively seek students from other school districts.

I honestly don't know much about Grayson. But i agree that it would prepare us better to play either JH or CH.

Let's not get into the Public vs Private debate again. Us Privates aren't going to change your mind, and you Public's aren't going to change ours. I really wish we were playing JH instead of Grayson County this year.

So we really only scored 21 but a bad call gave us 28. lol Tell yourself whatever you need to feel better about Meade. 2A vs 6A really doesn't matter huh? lol You have about a thousand more students than we do. Look...Good luck to Meade County hope you guys do well. But don't try to minimize what happened friday night just because we are a 2A school.

Actually it was 31 - 6. I was generous giving you a point. You got one long run on a 4th and 1. yes your fullback made a nice gain for the TD. That's all you got. Both teams were shuffling 1st and 2nd teams in after the break. It was 28-6 at that point. Our JV scored the field goal. We didn't even play Nord at QB. We used Johnson the whole way. You didn't see physical huh, so you missed him picking up your back and laying him gently on the ground? lol He was in your backfield all night! Take the green glasses off. We beat you last year, and this year. Not bad for a little ole 2A team against a big bad 6A team.

He;s going to force teams to run opposite side. He looked good, and very physical.

Defense looked good.

We'll see what we got tomorrow night. We go on the road and scrimmage 6A runner up Meade County.

CAL is interesting to me. Maybe because they have been a thorn in our side the past few years in the regular season. I'm interested to see what they have this year. I know they lost their QB. However they have a great coach, and facilities, and they are a well disciplined team. I would definitely have them in the top ten.

I think you can flip any of the top 3 and it would still look good.

I think Mayfield will have to step their game up. Their road will be a little bit tougher. You think DeSales, CAL, and Glasgow are just going to let Mayfield slide by every year? I'm telling you now watch the Colts for the next few years. We dressed 83 last year, and about the same this year. We have a lot of talent stockpiled. Our incoming classes have been very good.

You want a lock? How about Paulie Miller. That's a lock. Do a little research on Flaget, and his legacy.

I'm liking the Colts this year. A lot of teams in 2a seem to think we'll be down a little without Byrd and Roush, while they were great players we have been amassing some talent the last few years. I think we'll be ok.

We did play at Manual for a few years, but for some reason scheduling became an issue, so we have been at Iroquois and Southern for about 4 years now. It will be nice to have our own home next year.

We share with Iroquois, and Southern. This will be our last year doing that as they are building a new stadium at DeSales.

Bardstown does concern me. They will really give us their best shot after last year. It should be a heck of a game.

Probably see Nord back there at QB. Better pure passer than Roush. Not as fleet on foot though, although he can, and will run. He was the first string FB and LB last year. Very smart player, won't make many mistakes. Looking forward to seeing him lead the offense.

CAL is our real rival. It's turned into a great series. Can't wait till Oct 17th.

Predictions are fun, because we can all make them. So.....I'll predict DeSales vs NCC with the Catholic school winning it again. :lol2: Now. Back to reality. The season is long, and lots of things can happen. Injuries, how the team is getting along in the locker room, also remember these are teenage boys, and those pesky girlfriends can play havoc on their minds. But it also takes a little luck to run the table. We had to have some of it last year in Glasgow. I'm looking for a great season in 2A. And I really wish all the teams, the best.

I'll let everyone else make their assumptions. All I'll say is I really like our team this year. Lot's of talent across the board.
