I don’t know if there are more members on staffs or if now all staff members have a seat on the Varsiy bench. When I played varsity basketball, the assistant freshman coach did not sit on the Varsity bench with us. In fact, the freshman coach only sat on the bench if it was a triple header. Now it seems like every assistant and every member the staff has a seat. There may be a guy on the bench who is only taking stats, but he’s considered a varsity assistant coach and has a spot on the bench.

Is Gia Jones hurt for St. Henry? I haven't seen her in the stat line for a few games.

Final score from last night. My Bellevue Tigers have been struggling all year but they did get a win over the Polar Bears. Bracken appears to be spiraling.

Do you think we are all done with accumulating snow for the season?

I am almost positive that a school gets fined for walking off the court in a situation such as this.

Any streaming of this game?

I think there is a hefty fine that comes along with these decisions.

Watching this middle school game and seeing a team just sit in a zone and rebound. They may win tonight but they are in no way helping out their Varsity program. Maybe I’m old school, but seeing middle school coaches refuse to play man to man defense is a pet peeve of mine.

What is the seeding situation? In the past, this game has actually been meaningless because it’s just a difference between two and three seed?

I think you also told me parking would be easy.

Are you still seeing something next Saturday on Valentine’s Day?

I believe I was the prognosticator of prognosticators when I said that Ryle would be in the game through the third-quarter. I would say being down 14 to begin the 4th would qualify that the Raiders were in the game. I consider myself a prophet.

58-46 Final. Very odd fourth quarter.

Getting slightly chippy.

The refs have blown their whistles a ton this quarter. Very odd atmosphere right now.

Now this is interesting. The varsity starters started the fourth quarter, they actually showed a little bit of life and Got the deficit to 17 with about four minutes left, and then Coach Johnson subbed in the JV squad again. The Holy Cross fans are screaming at Coach Johnson.

52-24 at end of 3. I think HC’s JV team played the last 4 minutes of the quarter.

47-18 Tigers half way through the 3rd. No one on Holy Cross’ team or bench looks like they have any interest in being here.

34-18 Beechwood at half. I’m glad I came to fort Mitchell instead of Park Hills.

Well, that makes sense. That’s why there’s no place to park. I think I’m gonna head over to Fort Mitchell.

I think I’m gonna go to this tonight. I’ve never been to Cov Cath for a basketball game before. Is there plenty of parking?

If Cov Cath beats you by one 3-pointer and one free throw for the first 3 quarters, that gets you within 12 going into the fourth quarter. If Cov Cath beats you by one layup in the 4th and then hits free throws down the stretch, that’s a 19 point deficit. The Colonels are a great team and if you hang with them pretty tough, I’d say that makes you really really good. It’s just talk though. I’m just saying Ryle is really, really good.

Ryle is really good. I knew they were good, but they were just toying with SK last night. IF they can keep it under 20 against Cov Cath, then I think that means they are really, really good.

I'll be at Ryle tonight. I think this game with Simon Kenton is going to be good.
