Beechwood 58 Covington Holy Cross 46

Nice district game at Beechwood(2/6/26)

Who wins.

I like the Cross.

Depends on health of Holy Cross they are a little banged up. It should be a good game for sure as these two teams always seem to play tight games.

If you can’t make it out to the game in person Holy Cross Radio will be there to cover the game. Internet service in that gym is always 50/50 but that aside we will be there.

34-18 Beechwood at half. I’m glad I came to fort Mitchell instead of Park Hills.

47-18 Tigers half way through the 3rd. No one on Holy Cross’ team or bench looks like they have any interest in being here.

52-24 at end of 3. I think HC’s JV team played the last 4 minutes of the quarter.

Now this is interesting. The varsity starters started the fourth quarter, they actually showed a little bit of life and Got the deficit to 17 with about four minutes left, and then Coach Johnson subbed in the JV squad again. The Holy Cross fans are screaming at Coach Johnson.

The refs have blown their whistles a ton this quarter. Very odd atmosphere right now.

Getting slightly chippy.

58-46 Final. Very odd fourth quarter.

From Beechwood Boys Basketball on Facebook:

Beechwood (16-7) defeats Holy Cross, 58-46. The Tigers are led in scoring by Topmiller with 18pts, McCormack 12, Stiles 7, Brockett 6, Knasel 6, Moore 5, and Smith 4.

Is it true the HC coaches had to be separated after the game?
Losing the All-A final at home has begun a bit of a spiral.

Nope, HC is resting for the district game.

I didn’t see anything.

Heard it was back towards the lockerroom per bystanders.
