  1. I am saying that the kids that were at Raceland when Maynard was the head coach have stayed their amidst his vacation. Also, I have spoke not about the carpets at all in this thread. I am a firm believer that Raceland can beat anyone on their schedule by 20+ points, including Ashland. But this is only possible if they come ready to play. Raceland can be a dang good team this year, possibly the best in school history, but they MUST come ready to play each and every week and overlook no one. I believe Salmons will have the Rams ready for Friday and not for next Friday. I am holding my prediction: Rams 55 Comets 12
  2. I think OR with only be able to make it to the home games this season. The longer drives he will most likely not make it. But who knows?? He may just surprise the ORANGE FAITHFUL!!!!!!
  3. Then we would have to teach Oldrambler how to text and man, that would be a trip! lol.
  4. Russell, IMO, has more than last year. Have a lot of skill guys that can play. I believe they can rotate 10 guys and not miss a beat offensively. On defense they can rotate 8 guys in the DB spotlight and still make some great plays. The big question for the Red Devils is the front 5 or 6. They have Max in as a LB and he is unquestionably their best LB. Connor is their next best guy. But the other LB position is questionable for a started. If I had to make an educated guess, Cole or Ison will be playing. Montanez and Mitch will be the front DT and the ends will most likely be Pennington and Pierce.
  5. Cole was in on the second team. He also played well with his limited playing time. Fox played a little more in "second quarter" after dealing with some cramps. He will definitely get the most touches for Mason.
  6. Agreed. Russell was able to run almost anything offensively and pick up yardage. Russell rotated a significant amount of players in both sides of the ball. On defense, they rotated 22 players every three plays. There isn't much of a drop off between the second line backing and secondary groups but a huge difference in the defensive line. On the offensive side, McKee and Conley played well as usual. Max and Evan Ison played very well as well at the RB position. This was the first time Russell's OL was able to play together at a unit so there was some timing issues but still played rather well.
  7. Russell 19 Mason 0 This is only for the varsity time that was played. Freshman was 6-6 on both sides. Russell came out very slow and sluggish but ended up executing really well on some plays. Mason drove the ball on the last possession for about 10 minutes just running it down Russell's throat. I will have more on the scrimmage later on after I can watch the film.
  8. Had the pleasure to have him as my O-Line coach for my freshman year at Georgetown. Great coach! Have some great lol mrs from this man!
  9. Russell's weakness this year will be the depth of the linebacking corp. how many can play at a high enough level?
  10. EKC grid is usually three normal quarters for varsity and the last quarter is a running clock for JV and freshmen.
  11. I dont care where the Rams are in the rankings because there is a lot of work to do and the rankings mean jack crap if you don't come and play each and every game. It's a good thing to have, don't get me wrong. But I do know that the top five teams aren't worried where they're ranked. They're getting ready for their first opponent. I know there isn't any "Rankings talking" in Ram Land. All business and work. They're getting ready for West Carter. Lots of work to do for the Rams before they defend the 2 spot here. And this isn't a knock on any team. And I'm not saying this to rant! Just criticism for my fellow Rams!
