  1. Could not say it any better OR! Bring Out The Orange Text!
  2. Team Camp starts tomorrow evening! The Meet the Rams is Friday! It's here gentlemen.
  3. 7 on 7 is all about getting reps. Reps are very important during the summer in order to learn the plays and get reps with the first stringers.
  4. This is true in a way. But for a team that may throw 90 times a game it may be beneficial. For a team that runs the ball 90 times a game, it helps work on a part of the game they may not be distinguished in just yet. It's all important.
  5. I'll let him clarify but I believe he may have been saying they have success in 7 on 7 games but are unable to get the job done being physical on Friday nights. That's what I got from it anyways. Whether he meant that or not, I dont know, we will have to let OF clarify.
  6. Whose post are you referring to? Just to clarify exactly what you're saying.
  7. Yes. I advise to stop by the practice field on US 23 in your car.
  8. Go tell the Trinity players that they have a .500 percent record against out of state competition. They will argue you into a corner, and tell you to get out. Even though they don't have a .500 record against out of state competition in the last five years, if you dare talk about the nine losses, you will be persecuted. Just my opinion.
  9. Instead of having to play Pikeville in the regional title game and Hazard in the semis, they now play the winner in the semis only. And to be honest, the region that play in the first three rounds is MUCH weaker than years past. Nicholas, Brossart, Paris, and Bracken are the region we now contest. Seems as if Raceland's district will win three of the four games.
  10. I will go with Raceland in this argument. Now, I understand a run would consist of a state championship but I am going to dim it down. Beechwood is the favorite in 1A, but Raceland benefits well. A three team district with a five seed from Pikeville's district to play as a 4 in Raceland's. Raceland has a seemingly easy route to the semis each year. And each year, playing Hazard or Pikeville. Much easier than having Pikeville meet you in the Regional Final.
  11. I think that if you told this to the kids at Trinity, you may not walk out of the locker room under your own power.
  12. There you have it! I also heard this. Hopefully we can keep guys healthy and rotate as needed. This will definitely help in games with larger schools, such as Ashland and Pikeville.
  13. I think love still has five years. And surely they will wait AT LEAST after this year because they have two D1 athletes. Love will be there a few more years. Baring a good season this year, 8-4 or 9-3, he will be there a little longer. If Ashland beats Johnson Central every year for the next five years, he will be there for a sixth season.
  14. Wallace has lost about 20 to 25 pounds and is running sprints better than he ever has. He is looking good. Jerome Hall will most likely play both ways as well. He has also lost about 10 to 15 pounds ad is doing well. Morgan Carmen will most likely be a defensive end as long as he can stay healthy. On the offensive side, Caden Townsend will start at center. But there has been some talk that they may move Wallace to a tackle. Whether that is true or not, we will see in camp. But if I had to guess, this is what they will try and start out with the first night of camp: Townsend at center, Wallace and Alex Niece at guards, Jerome Hall and Jared Manis at tackles. They return everybody on the line except Lucas Bradley last year. Another thing that may be talked and experimented with is moving Manis to just defense and putting Townsend at tackle and putting Justin Fairchild in at center. Again, all of this will be settled during camp. I was unable to be there the second day to watch Fleming but Lewis won a few games. Had some trouble on defense running a two high safety defense and unable to cover slow-go routes. They also had some trouble covering seam routes down the middle. Need to improve on defensive secondary but still played well. Their offense has some growing pains and the QB has some trouble gripping the ball, in my opinion, but looks young. I don't know if he is or not but he did look young and, at points, looked very smart. Made smart decisions but could put them where they needed to be.
  15. Not 100% sure on that. Time will tell though. After camp, we will know a good bit more. Wallace will need to go both ways on the front line. Holbrook will most likely only play one way. That's all I really know for now.
  16. Nathaniel Davidson QB'd for the varsity. They also rotated Damien Black in as well. Davidson is looking sharp. Putting a nice touch on the ball and delivering it where it gives the receiver a chance. Had a great first day. I honestly think he's going to be a great QB for the Rams. Had a few misreads but always gave the receiver a great chance. He also had a few back shoulder throws that were simply amazing. He will be a great 2 year QB if he wins the job.
  17. Great kid and a great athlete. He deserves this more than anyone else.
