The Raceland faithful could say they may like this idea, however, Ram and my point is that the kids that are on the team getting blown out don't want to play the game to begin. In the first round, Raceland usually plays Phelps, South Floyd, or Allen Central. My sophomore through senior seasons I played each of the three teams in each of my three seasons and each and every game they said the same thing: "why are we even here?". My question is what do we do for those kids in that position who don't want to play that game BECAUSE they're going to get beat 66-0 or, in this case, 42-0?

It's more common than you think, honestly. In my four years at Raceland, it happened at least once in my four summers there.

As I have said before, I am not a huge style fan but one thing the jerseys can do is attract guys who have wanted to play football for awhile out to the field because of what they see. Just my opinion of course. Jerseys have no effect on what the outcome of the game is, but I see it more of a magnet for kids who want to wear the jersey.

They all return. Walker, Holbrook, and Davidson along with Christian as the floating safety. Defense will be just as good, if not better than last season.

I heard that Kentucky is sending the National Guard to patrol all roads in and out of the state. Word is they are keeping an eye on for a McPeek or two. They are rare and dangerous.

I'm gonna get this off my chest to speak for Raceland, Ashland, Russell, Boyd, Greenup, etc. GREAT football programs don't have one near-perfect season and say "we are the best". Doesn't happen. A great football program isn't built over night, it is built over years and years of excellence. Fairview had two great seasons-which have been rendered- and the other schools, like you mentioned, Raceland and Ashland, have had numerous amounts of great seasons (ie: Raceland has had four losing season since the program started in 1928). So if you're telling me that schools like Belfry, Raceland, and Ashland are complaining and/or doing things wrong, you're the one who is incorrect. They have been doing it for years and years. Obviously Belfry does better than Raceland or Ashland as of now but my point is made. Do things right and lord knows what may happen.
