  1. Let's all take a stroll down memory lane when everything was so important. Except, I'd rather lose doing the right thing instead of cheating and winning. And yeah, I'll say I lost 3 of the 4. We didn't show up ready to play. Unfortunately, for Fairview, they have nothing to prove of it. I have a regional championship and Fairview still has zero. That's just the facts. I'll take the big boy route and play good boy. Raceland has 19 district championships, 2 regional championships, and 2 state semifinal runners up. Fairview has what? 7 districts, 0 regional championships, 0 state semi final appearances. That's the facts. I don't care about Fairview until the week we play them. When we play them, all focus to them, kick your butts, play the next game. That's how it is. But if you want to think more than what you think have at it. I know Raceland is a big game on fairviews schedule and people talk trash on social media, but come on. RACELAND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT FAIRVIEW. Personally, I think Raceland wants Fairview to stay open, so there's still a rivalry. I want Fairview to stay open. So we continue what has been. I don't care about Fairview, if you think I do, sorry bud. I play at Georgetown, for the 24th winningest coach in NAIA history. Talk about what you want: youth, losses, etc. I did something at Raceland that had never been done before, at the time. I'm glad I accomplished what I did. I'm not on here 24/7. I'm on here to enjoy talking football. I love football. I love the Raceland/Fairview rivalry. I love football. My son will play for Raceland. He will play Fairview. He will win. He will be an athlete. But one thing he won't be is a loser, cheater, or wrong-doer. At all. I can tell you this, I don't care what you say, I lost 3 of 4, but I won a district title, a regional title, and made a semi final appearance. I lived what others, since 1928, didn't get. I am blessed and glad of what I accomplished. I spent time in the weight room, since 7th grade, spent time at speed camp in ironton, and spent time in fitness world working my butt off for the benefit of myself and my team. I dont know what Fairview did. I'm sure they did those things, but not in the right way—according to the reports. I did it right and I did what I need to do for the vendor for the team and my coach, TJ Maynard. Talk all you want. It won't justify what you did improperly. I don't care what happened. I went to RACELAND. Not Fairview. I am a Ram at half heart and a Tiger the other half. Talk have a good talk. Thanks.
  2. I personally think all the Fairview posters should apologize or admit that all these Raceland goers were right. I dont know though. Maybe that's asking for too much. Not that it hurt our feelings or anything. Oldrambler and sidelinedoc, I know, aren't taking it too hard. Lol.
  3. We are just dumb hilljacks that root for an orange and black team. What do we know?
  4. 60 kids is a good starting number. After camp is through with, I'd say maybe 53 or 54 will be the completed roster for the first game. That's good numbers!
  5. I was thinking maybe a little more. The football team also practices on the baseball field ya know... We have to be careful because Talon and sidelinedoc2 will get after us.
  6. My thought on platooning is this: look at the schools in Kentucky that platoon. Are the majority of the schools successful and somewhat successful, or are they all just terrible? It's is definitely more difficult to platoon at a smaller school, no doubt, but that doesn't mean it isn't the factor that can make an average program become an elite program. There are many factors that play into how a program becomes elite, but looking at what makes the elite programs elite, what would you say that makes them elite? Money? Kids? Talent pool? Platooning? Male enrollment has nothing to do with the eliteness of an athletic program.
  7. Via Twitter, this is Kash's top three as of midnight tonight.
  8. I guess that's a matter of opinion isn't it..?
  9. Found this this evening scrolling through Instagram. This appears to be Quinton Baker's top five college choices, in no particular order. Thoughts on UK not being on it?
  10. I have an educated guess at 4-6, going 3-1 in the first four.
  11. Not bashing on his decision at all. I'm sure that UK sold their program very well. I don't know what his most important assets are but I just don't understand how any kid in Kentucky that has an offer from Bama and UK can pick UK over Bama. I just see it as redundant. You want to be the best, you want to win, and you want to play high caliber football. Why wouldn't you pick Bama? Like I said, I think he's a great ball player. One of the best in KY. He's a good kid and plays for a great coaching staff. I just don't know why you would pick UK over Bama. Distance is obvious but regardless.
  12. Every football player wants to win championships. Not sure UK will do it in the next five years. But what do I know?
  13. Let me tell you what he means, if you have offers out of state including Alabama, and you continue to go to UK, it's a mistake. I also agree with him. He's making a mistake if he goes to UK. It saying he won't excel, just a poor decision if you ask me.
  14. These are the away jerseys. However, Raceland has also added a black jersey in as well. Sidelinedoc has those pictures.
  15. Raceland is having one July 17-18.
